The prisoner’s last wish was to see his dog for the last time: but as soon as the dog entered the prison cell, something strange happened 😲😲
His last wish before the final sentence, which would mean the end of his life, was to see his German Shepherd. The prisoner accepted his fate with quiet resignation.
For twelve years, day after day, he woke up in a cold cell B-17. He was accused of taking someone’s life, and although he swore his innocence, no one listened to him. Initially, he fought, filed complaints, and hired lawyers, but over time, he simply stopped fighting and waited for his verdict.
The only thing that worried him all those years was his dog. The man had no other family. The German Shepherd wasn’t just a pet: she was his family, his girlfriend, and the only creature he trusted. An inmate found her as a puppy, shivering in an alley, and from that day on they were inseparable.

When the guard brought a piece of paper asking for his last wish, the man didn’t ask for fancy food, cigars, or a priest, as many do. He simply said softly:
“I want to see my dog. For the last time.”
At first, the staff was skeptical. Was this a devious plan? So, on the appointed day, before the verdict, he was brought outside. Under the watchful eye of the guards, he met his dog.
When the shepherd saw his owner, he unleashed himself and ran toward him. At that moment, time stood still.
But what happened next surprised everyone. The guards stood there, unsure what to do 😲🫣 Continued in the first comment 👇 👇
The dog, having wriggled free from the police officer’s grasp, violently charged toward his owner, as if trying to be separated for twelve years in a single moment.
She flew into his arms, knocked him off his feet, and for the first time in years, the prisoner didn’t feel the cold or the weight of the chains. Only warmth.
He hugged the dog tightly, burying his face in its thick fur. The tears he hadn’t been able to afford for all these years burst forth.
He cried loudly, without shame, like a child, and the dog whimpered softly, as if she, too, understood that they had little time.
“You are my girl… my faithful…” he whispered, hugging her even tighter. “What will you do without me?…”
His hands were trembling; he stroked her back, again and again, as if he wanted to remember every little thing. The dog looked at him with devoted eyes.
“Forgive me… for leaving you alone,” his voice broke, growing hoarse. “I couldn’t prove the truth… but at least you always needed me.”
The guards stood motionless, many of them looking the other way. Even the strictest among them could not remain indifferent: before them stood not a criminal, but a man who, in the last minutes of his life, held the only thing in his world in his hands.
He looked up at the guard and said in a breaking voice:
—Take good care of her…
He asked the guard to take her home and promised that he would not resist and would accept the punishment.
At that moment, the silence became unbearable. The dog barked again, sharply and loudly, as if protesting what was about to happen.
And the prisoner hugged her just once more, holding her close as only a human can, and said goodbye forever.
