The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback got tackled awkwardly while playing against the Cleveland Browns, and things did not look good.
Mahomes was twisted in a way that a human body shouldn’t have been, as he was hit from behind and then from the front.
Mahomes took the snap and tried to move around the pocket to create more time during the play. Ultimately, his protection collapsed on him, and he had to jump while throwing the ball.
As a result, Mahomes got up and was severely limping to the sidelines.
The broadcast later showed Mahomes having his left ankle taped while sitting on the bench.
The Chiefs were up 21=7 at the time of his injury.
Mahomes was said to be questionable about returning today due to an ankle injury.
Patrick Mahomes And The Chiefs have Three Games In Eleven Days
When the NFL schedule came out in May, something instantly stood out to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
The team is playing on Sunday, Dec. 15; Saturday, Dec. 21 and then Wednesday, Dec. 25.
Mahomes just got injured on Sunday, and now has a quick turnaround to play against Houston on Saturday.

The Kansas City Chiefs could be without superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes after he suffered an ankle injury in Sunday’s 21-7 road win over the Cleveland Browns.
Patrick Mahomes was injured after taking a hit from Cleveland defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson during the fourth quarter. Backup Carson Wentz came in and helped the Chiefs hold on for a fourth straight victory.
The good news for Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs is that they have a two-game lead on the Pittsburgh Steelers and Buffalo Bills for the AFC’s top seed. Both have to win today to maintain a two-game gap with the defending champions.
Patrick Mahomes Had Inconsistent Outing vs. Browns
Mahomes certainly didn’t play his best football on Sunday prior to leaving the game with an ankle injury. He completed 50 percent of pass attempts (19 of 38) for 159 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions.
Things have hardly come easy for the Chiefs this year. But once again, the offense was efficient enough while the defense did the heavy lifting in a 14-point win.
