Travis Kelce Openly Shares His Difference With Patrick Mahomes: ‘This Really Frustrates Me’.
The tight end opened up about his and Mahomes’ recent lack of chemistry on the field on Wednesday’s episode of his and brother Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast.
“I’m just not on the same page as Pat,” he said. “It can get frustrating. It can get f–king frustrating. That’s for damn sure.”

“Where I take a lot of pride is once we get in that red zone, man,” he continued. “Once we get in that red zone, man, I get a little hungrier and right now, for whatever reason this year, I just can’t find my way in the end zone.”
During Friday’s game at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo., Travis caught seven passes for 68 yards but failed to secure a touchdown before the game ended 19-17.
The football pro, 35, has only made two touchdowns during the Chiefs’ current 12 games of the 2024-25 season, which is two fewer than last season to date, per ESPN.

Reflecting on the game, Travis said on the podcast, “They had a good understanding of what we were trying to do and how to stop us and how to slow us down.”
“They eliminated a lot of the big-time plays that we had. On top of that, keep us out of the end zone. That was the biggest thing for me.”
“I know you hold yourself to a really high standard,” Jason added. “I think you’re being a little hard on yourself.”

The Chiefs have won 11 out of 12 games during the 2024-25 NFL season with their first defeat being to the Buffalo Bills on Nov. 17.
In September, Travis owned up to his and the Chiefs’ slow start on the field following a tight match against the Atlanta Falcons, which saw his team win 22-17.
“We’re finding ways to win games, but we’re not playing our best football,” he admitted on the “New Heights” podcast.
“Everybody can clean it up. I think everyone saw my drop in the fourth quarter with that crucial third down.”

Travis shared that he hadn’t been able to make his way down the field and score touchdowns because other teams’ defenses were stopping him.
The three-time Super Bowl champ added, “I just wanna have a successful offense, and I think Pat’s doing a great job of finding the open guy and making the right decisions right now.”
At the time, sports commentators slammed Travis for spending too much time canoodling with his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, instead of practicing over the summer.
