The college football season is well underway at this point, and many players are already having standout seasons. One of these players includes Colorado Buffaloes cornerback/receiver Travis Hunter.

Hunter is pulling off a very impressive athletic feat, and it’s only getting more impressive as some recent news about his team’s locker room, led by former NFL great Deion Sanders, has some fans worried for the players and coaches alike.

A report published by Athlon Sports last week shows that the Colorado locker room is not looking too good. Sanders reportedly encourages his guys to fight during practice, with one anonymous player likening it to the video game GTA.

And it now looks as though things have gotten a lot worse, as a video surfaced of a fight between former Colorado assistant bench boss Trevor Reilly and graduate assistant Josh Jynes in early August.

Colorado Coaches Have Created A Fight Club-Like Culture In The Locker Room

Reilly kept it blunt when he was asked about the fight, “I mean, that goes back to basically anything that happens; everybody’s an employee of the state. That’s why I keep saying it. Who are we hiding from? You don’t hide. The cover-up is worse than the crime.”

Deion Sanders may not have seen the ordeal, as he has yet to comment on the fight. However, it does seem likely that the Buffaloes head coach may not even have a problem due to the environment he is creating at the university.

Even though there may be some questions about how Sanders runs his squad, there’s little doubt about its effectiveness recently. Colorado did win its opening game against the North Dakota State Bison and will look to go 2-0 as it faces Nebraska next week.
