Elon Musk reacts to CEO Andy Byron’s ‘hilarious’ fake statement after ‘ColdplayGate’ scandal

Elon Musk has reacted to CEO Andy Byron’s fake statement after the shocking ‘ColdplayGate’ scandal.

A clip of Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and HR head Kristin Cabot looking cozy at a Coldplay concert has gone viral on social media.

The pair were filmed appearing on the big screen during a ‘kiss cam’ portion of the concert where lead singer Chris Martin serenades attendees.

However, when Byron and Cabot were shown on camera, they seemed to be shocked and quickly moved to hide themselves from view.

At the time, Martin joked that they were ‘either having an affair’ or really shy.

Since then, internet sleuths have discovered that they are actually colleagues and are married to other people.

It looks like even the likes of Musk are taking the opportunity to poke fun at Byron and Cabot after a fake statement from the CEO did the rounds on X, formerly Twitter.

A screenshot of the fake apology had people believe that Byron was actually apologizing for being a Coldplay fan.

In the fake statement, it said: “I want to acknowledge the moment that’s been circulating online, and the disappointment it’s caused.

“What was supposed to be a night of music and joy turned into a deeply personal mistake play-out out on a very public stage. I want to sincerely apologize to my wife, my family, and my team at Astronomer. You deserve better from me as a partner, as a father, and as a leader.

“This is not who I want to be or how I want to represent the company I helped build. I’m taking time to reflect, take accountability, and figure out the next steps, personally and professionally. I ask for privacy as I navigate that process.

“I also want to express how troubling it is that what should have been a private moment became public without my consent. I respect artists and entertainers, but I hope we can all think more deeply about the impact of turning someone else’s life into a spectacle.

“As a friend once sang: ‘Lights will guide you home, and ignite your bones, and I will try to fix you.”

Musk reacted to the joke with a crying laughing emoji.

In reality, neither of the executives have publicly spoken out about the incident.

Many people have taken to social media themselves to react to the footage, with one user writing on TikTok: “We need people that knows these people spilling the tea right now.”

Another joked: “He went from smiling to frowning faster than the blood drained from his face.”

A third person commented: “I would pay to be at the office today.”

A fourth said: “Can we just take a moment to recognize Chris’s instinctual and factual observation of the situation.”

And another user added: “Bet if they didn’t react, none this would’ve been viral.”

She had a good run, but two years after she stepped up to lead the latest chapter of Twitter, Linda Yaccarino is out. As part of Elon Musk’s purchase and rebrand of Twitter, Yaccarino took the reins of X…although many of you still call it Twitter.

There have been rumblings of discontent over on X, especially as Elon Musk’s much-promoted Grok AI chatbot has been accused of spouting offensive nonsense. This wouldn’t be the first time Grok has gone rogue, especially after it seemed to become obsessed with white genocide.

In the midst of all this, Linda Yaccarino has announced her shock departure from X.

Thanking the world’s richest man for having faith in her, Yaccarino wrote: “I’m immensely grateful to him for entrusting me with the responsibility of protecting free speech, turning the company around, and transforming X into the Everything App.”

It comes after Musk acquired Twitter in October 2022 for a hefty $44 billion. His plan was to turn it into a ‘public square’ that’s free of censorship. Since then, X has rolled back major features like blocking and faced a mass exodus of celebrity names, while the likes of Musk’s ex, Grimes, has branded it ‘a prison’.

Despite Yaccarino not listing a reason for her departure, conspiracy theorists are lining it up with convenient timing, coming just one day after Grok was accused of posting antisemitic sentiments. Grok even went as far as referring to itself as ‘MechaHitler’, which sparked concern among more than just the X community.

In her parting message, Yaccarino continued: “X is truly a digital town square for all voices and the world’s most powerful culture signal. We couldn’t have achieved that without the support of our users, business partners, and the most innovative team in the world.”

It sounds like Yaccarino will still be sticking close to Musk, with reports she’s moving over to xAI. The two companies are linked after X was sold to xAI for $33 billion.

As well as teasing the best is yet to come for X, Yaccarino also doesn’t sound like she’ll be leaving the platform behind, vowing to keep posting on X as she concluded: “I’ll be cheering you all on as you continue to change the world. As always, I’ll see you on x.”

Musk hasn’t directly responded to news of Yaccarino stepping down, although he did comment on a post from French businessman Thierry Breton that read: “Need help, @elonmusk ? Europe’s got talent 🇪🇺.”

The tech billionaire responded with a simple, “Sure 😂,” although there’s no news on who will replace Yaccarino. For all we know, it could be Grok itself taking the wheel.

Grimes hits out at ex Elon Musk’s X calling it ‘poison’ and ‘a prison’ in scathing new statement

Grimes has hit out at her ex Elon Musk’s social media platform by calling it ‘poison’ and ‘a prison’ in a scathing new statement.

The singer who shares three children with the Tesla boss has spoken out against Musk’s X, formerly Twitter, after he bought the site back in 2022.

Grimes took to X on Monday (July 7) to share that she ‘could not be more hyped’ about working with dance musician Sub Focus.

In a separate post, Grimes continued: “Ok I’ve basically been entirely off social media and returning here it is overwhelmingly abundantly and profoundly clear that this place – and all of these places – are a poison – a prison of utterly short form deep sounding nonsense attached to no one that ur brain will discard imaging its learning. The entire thing is a theatre. A shitty pale simulacra of a life.”

This isn’t the first time that Grimes has spoken out against social media, as back in April, she wrote: “I’ve been way more offline lately, tried all the apps for a bit yesterday and man! It’s rly dark on here!

“I think it’s very unhealthy to be on social media, it feels like a ghost town of depression, bitterness and pictures of beautiful women doing sext things.

“I feel like this is a massive moral failure of all the apps. And it’s causing great harm to society.”

In the past, the singer has been vocal about her wishes to keep her children out of the public eye, despite her son, X, often being photographed at high profile events with Musk.

Earlier this year, Grimes replied to a tweet asking what she was doing to ‘protect her children’ from the spread of misinformation.

She said: “I, unfortunately, do not control the internet and cannot wipe this from the internet. I have tried begging the public and my kids’ dad to keep them offline, and I’ve tried legal recourse. I follow you here, I’ve seen young [people] destroyed by the internet too.”

Grimes continued: “The state of my children’s lives being public is of grave concern to me and I think about how to solve this every day.

“It’s insane to me that there’s no way to deal with this. I would hope there was some law that would allow a parent to veto small children from living public lives, but I don’t even trust the law to help me now if I tried to invoke it [to be honest]. We are in the Wild West of information content and the dismantling of privacy and it’s very concerning.”

Elon Musk makes bombshell promise for his political party that would shock America

Elon Musk has made a new bombshell promise for his new political party on social media that has the potential to shock America, as he reacts to new findings from the Trump administration.

While it remains merely a promise at this point in time, speculation continues to find ground surrounding the priorities and positions of Elon Musk’s new ‘America Party’, which he intends to create as a rival to US President Donald Trump.

Beginning with a threat to fund opposition to any Republican lawmakers that voted for the controversial ‘Big Beautiful Bill’, Musk quickly escalated this into the promise of forming his own political party.

Some have predicted that, if successfully launched, the America Party could have a devastating effect on the future of US politics as Musk would likely draw the attention of key sections of the Republican voter base, and could even energize and mobilize Democrat voters based on previous trends.

Its prospective leader has already made a ‘bombshell’ promise that the America Party aims to fix if elected, and it could send shockwaves throughout America.

What is Musk’s bombshell promise for the America Party?

Elon Musk has recently revealed on X that ‘exposing the Epstein files’ will be a high priority for the America Party, emerging as a major promise that could entice many voters over to his camp.

It all kicked off following the Department of Justice’s recent findings in relation to Jeffrey Epstein, where it was ruled that his death in prison was by suicide, and that there was “no credible evidence” of an Epstein-collected client list that could be used to “prominent individuals.”

This appears to directly contradict both Musk’s accusation that Trump is in the Epstein files – vowing that the ‘truth will come out’ – and Attorney General Pam Bondi’s assertion that the files were ‘on her desk’ back in February.

Musk posted several bizarre memes mocking the Trump administration following this ruling, including one which compared the Department of Justice to a clown and another that had ‘The Official Jeffrey Epstein Pedophile Arrest Counter’ at ‘0000’.

Now, Musk took to X, writing: “How can people be expected to have faith in Trump if he won’t release the Epstein files?” One reply asked “will exposing the Epstein files rank high on the America Party’s list,” to which Musk replied with the ‘100’ emoji, indicating it as a priority.

How have people responded to Musk’s promise?

Many in the replies to Musk’s post appear to be questioning Musk’s motivations, especially when it comes to his pledge.

“Then why don’t you do it now? If you do it now, people would more likely join your party,” writes one reply, adding: “You really think people are going to vote again of another promise about the Epstein files? Do it now.”

Given Musk’s willingness to expose Trump’s alleged involvement in the files, many wonder what’s necessarily stopping him from going further and continuing to reveal further information to the public.

“How can you promise this,” questions another, adding that “MAGA ran on the same platform.”

Some have even speculated that the files don’t even exist anymore, writing that the Republican party “had years to sanitize the files, you think there is still stuff there?”

Users in disbelief as Elon Musk rolls out creepy new feature on X for certain profiles

Elon Musk has announced a new bizarre and ‘creepy’ feature for certain X users in a recent post, and while the tech mogul might think it’s ‘pretty cool’, many others have been left in disbelief.

It’s been a week of highs and lows for Grok – Elon Musk’s bespoke AI model that is integrated fully into X – as while it’s new and updated version might well be smarter than many PhD students, it has simultaneously become embroiled in a major controversy surrounding inappropriate content.

Following strange professions of ‘white genocide’ in South Africa a few months ago, recent posts by Grok on X reportedly praised Hitler, spread antisemitic rhetoric, and criticized key foreign government officials, leading it to be banned in a major nation.

While the team behind Grok has outlined that it is “actively working to remove” the controversial comments, Musk has decided that now is the best time to launch a new major feature for the AI model that premium users can take advantage of.

What is Grok’s new ‘creepy’ feature?

Named ‘Companions’, this new Grok feature appears to be an enhanced version of the standard chatbot experience that provides an avatar for users to interact with.

“Cool feature just dropped for @SuperGrok subscribers. Turn on Companions in settings,” wrote Musk in a new post, before branding the feature “pretty cool.”

It appears as if there is just a single avatar available at the moment named ‘Ani’, who is an anime-styled woman with pigtails and a black strapless dress.

Users can talk with it as they would any normal chatbot, only ‘Ani’ speaks back at you and moves in response to your conversation. It appears as if you simply need to be subscribed to Grok to use it, and you can activate it by pressing the two bards in the upper left of the screen, then the gear icon in the bottom right.

Users on Reddit have revealed that the companion is ‘constantly moaning breathily’ when talking to you, and calls herself “your crazy-in-love girlfriend who’s gonna make your heart skip.”

There also appears to be a male version listed as ‘Coming Soon’ in the Companions section, indicating that Grok will be adding another potentially romantic friend in the future.

How have people reacted to this new feature?

Replies underneath Elon’s post appear to be broadly enthusiastic towards their new AI companion, with one even going as far to say: “Stop Elon, my wife’s already suspicious.”

It appears to be an advancement somewhat of Grok’s strange ’18+ Sexy Mode’, and could be the next step towards Musk’s goal of providing sex robots in the next couple of years.

Comments across social media appear to think that it’s a bit creepy though, with one comment writing “ain’t no way” and another outlining that they “are sure that this will be used responsibly.”

“Leave it to Musk lol,” proclaimed a third, adding that they were “surprised it took so long for him to resort to ‘dirty’ tactics.”

Many have expressed their worries as to how it will interact with increasing levels of loneliness across the internet, branding it a dangerous and worrying trend that’s going under the radar.

“The solution to loneliness is not people talking to robots, it’s putting less burden on the average folk so they can have the time to go outside and talk to people,” explains a concerned commenter, with others adding: “I’m lonely but unfortunately still sane enough to not humanize an AI so I can’t just go full delusional and enjoy having an AI girlfriend.”

Given previous tragic cases where teenagers have died after being allegedly coerced by their AI ‘girlfriend’, it’s understandable why many remain cautious around technology that appears highly liable to malfunction.
