Shaquille O’Neal Makes Good on His Two-Month-Old Promise as DJ Diesel Hypes Friday Announcement

“Some accolades mean more than others🥹.” This was Shaquille O’Neal’s reaction when he hit 50,000 followers on Spotify. The milestone news is worthy of celebration because it was his DJ Diesel profile and not his famous rap profile, which has over 507k monthly listeners and 119k followers. In his relatively short EDM career, Shaq has already worked with several major artists. Yet, he wanted to do more and kept the promise he made in January as we gear up for his next song!
Two months ago, DJ Diesel stated on X, “I feel like we can all agree that 2025 is the year everyone needs to release all the songs in the vault, me included so keep an eye out for that.” The social media activity is from his alternate account with his DJ moniker and already had more than 100k views. The 4x NBA champion further added, “That being said I still got a list of some dream collabs.” He goes on to list Ray Volpe, Rezz, Tape B, Levity, Eptic, Space Laces, TroyBoi, Disco Lines, HOL! and ATLiens.
His next song is not with those named artists, but with artist GorillaT aka Tate Warner. “We are SO proud to finally present to you all… “PAY RESPECT” 🔥 THIS FRIDAY.” The collaboration post was with Shaquille O’Neal, and he dropped a comment to hype the announcement even further. “Respectfully, this song fu–s.”
For Warner, he is a college athlete turned producer and in three short years has been able to perform in front of sell-out crowds. Despite garnering attention quickly, the Colorado native is excited for the collaboration with DJ Diesel.
“SO EXCITED FOR YOU GUYS TO FINALLY HERE THIS SONG🔥🔥🔥.” So, for all the bass lovers, the pre-save link is already out, and the song releases on Friday. For the Lakers legend, it is another chapter in his budding EDM career. Shaq has already performed with acts such Steve Aoki, Riot Ten, NGHTMRE, Riot Ten, Eliminate, 4B, and many more. While doing so, he earned the title of ‘the biggest DJ in the world.’
Shaquille O’Neal and his plans to conquer the world
When the Big Aristotle stopped hooping and was transitioning into his retirement life, he wanted to feel the adrenalin rush. “I started DJing because it gives me the same adrenaline boost that a championship game would give me.” Since then, he hasn’t looked back! His sold-out main stages around the globe include Lost Lands to Tomorrowland, EDC LV, Lost Lands, Lollapalooza, Electic Zoo, Forbidden Kingdom, Beyond Wonderland, and even his own festival series – Shaq’s Bass All Stars.
Recently, DJ Diesel also hinted at another collaboration for which he is willing to travel 5,095 miles to France. He is ready to travel because of his love for artist Ivory Dubz. “THAT’S IT I’M MOVING TO FRANCE (pack your bags @highzombiesound).” Before announcing his plans to settle in France, Shaquille O’Neal crowned the artist with GOAT status. “I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. @ivorydubz is the mf GOAT 🐐🔥🔥.”
Although permanently moving to France is not immediately on the cards as the NBA icon is a working analyst with TNT. But for DJ Diesel fans, they should take in the experience as the 53-year-old is ready to add more collaboration and release more tracks in the future.
