Paige Bueckers has lived up to every expectation that was put on her, and fans have been paying attention to everything.
The WNBA has been around for almost 30 years, but it took until 2024 before they really started to get major attention. Because of players like Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, the league has received increased attention like never before.
Sometimes that attention doesn’t always work out in your favor.
Over the weekend, Bueckers’ team, the Dallas Wings, took on the Washington Mystics. It featured two dynamic players.

The two frontrunners for WNBA Rookie of the Year went toe to toe Sunday night.
Bueckers offered 17 points, but the rookie duo of Citron and Kiki Iriafen combined for 42, leading Washington to a 91-78 victory over the Wings.
However, the WNBA is now being accused of rigging stats to favor Bueckers so she remains in the lead over Citron.
One fan noticed that a couple of Bueckers’ turnovers weren’t actually registered as turnovers in the box score. They even posted a video compilation to prove it.

“WNBA is cheating the stats for Paige Bueckers to keep her ahead of Sonia Citron for ROTY. If we can’t trust the box score, there’s nothing we can trust,” the fan noted.
If you head over to the box score, you will notice that Bueckers only has one turnover listed for the entire night.
