In 2019, the athlete purchased a $2 million mansion in her native Houston, Texas. Simone sold her 3,711-square foot childhood home in the city for $289,000 in 2017.

Simone and then-fiancé, NFL pro Jonathan Owens, are going to build their own home together, as she shared a photo of an empty piece of land they purchased on March 5, 2023. “A home is made with love and dreams,” she wrote in the caption, adding, “Cheers to breaking ground.” The pair got engaged in February 2022 after a year and a half of dating, and they tied the knot in April 2023.
