Fox News reports that 3,000 acres of land was torn through by the fire in a 24-hour period, and it is yet to be contained.

With the additional instruction: “Those who require additional time to evacuate, and those with pets and livestock should leave now.” As the family owns a dog, they would be in the category being asked to leave immediately to seek safety.
