Abandoned Due to Illness, Sabina the Dying Dog Fought for Help—Now She’s Living Her Best Life
Sabina’s story is one of heartbreak, resilience, and the incredible power of kindness. Once a cherished pet, she was left to fend for herself on the streets of Tabasco, Mexico, after becoming severely ill.
Her body was covered in scars, papilomas, and painful venereal tumors. Despite her obvious suffering, most people simply walked past her desperate pleas.
But finally, someone cared enough to stop.

With the help of the rescue group Caninos 911, AC, Sabina was rushed to a veterinary clinic. Her condition was critical, and her recovery would be long and uncertain. Still, the volunteers didn’t give up on her. They poured everything they had—time, care, and limited resources—into helping her heal.
It took nine months of intensive treatment, filled with ups and downs. But slowly, Sabina began to regain her strength. Her body healed, and with it, her spirit. The once-forgotten dog learned to trust again, thanks to the endless love and dedication surrounding her.
When she was finally well enough, Sabina’s fresh start arrived in the form of a warm, loving family. Rosaura Fiorini adopted her, welcoming her into a home with canine siblings and a human brother named Sebastian. There, Sabina flourished—going on park adventures, soaking in affection, and celebrating her fifth birthday surrounded by love.

Her transformation is nothing short of miraculous. From abandoned and ignored to cherished and celebrated, Sabina’s journey reminds us that every life matters—and that with compassion, we can turn even the darkest stories into tales of joy and redemption.
