Prince William makes surprise confession about sleeping arrangement with Kate Middleton.

Bedtime at Adelaide Cottage is more relatable than you might imagine.

Prince William, 42, has lifted the lid on what his and wife Kate Middleton’s sleeping arrangement at Adelaide Cottage is like.

The Prince and Princess of Wales have resided at the plush property, located on the grounds of Windsor Castle, for more than two years.

They live at the five-bedroom residence with their three children — Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6 — as well as their beloved cocker spaniel, Orla.

During a recent outing in Cornwall, England, William spoke to onlookers and revealed that he and Middleton, whom he wed in 2011, share the bed with their family pooch most nights.

“[William] said that his little dog sleeps on the bed with them at night, with him and Kate. [He was] absolutely in love with my little dog,” royal fan Louise Harland told a local radio station.

“He asked what breed he was and he’s never met one of those breeds, he’s a Cocker Jack, so he’s a little bit of a unique combination.”

While Orla doesn’t tend to join the future king and queen on their royal engagements, she was featured in a 2022 photo with Princess Charlotte to mark her birthday that year.

And last year, Orla made an appearance at a polo match, where she was snapped with the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Unsurprisingly, Orla’s name has a regal meaning behind it. When translated form Gaelic, the name means “golden princess.”

Orla is not the family’s first pet. The Waleses previously had a dog named Lupo, who was gifted to them by Middleton’s brother, James, as a wedding present in 2011. Lupo died in November 2020 at age 9.

The Wales family are known pet lovers, and even boast some farm animals on their estate.

During a visit to Woodgate Valley Urban Farm earlier this year, William excitedly met some guinea pigs.

“These guys are pretty cool. We’ve got guinea pigs at home and they are not like this,” he said at the engagement.

“I have to spend my life cleaning out the guinea pig cage because the children forget to do it. And then they run off because you have to handle them all the time, that’s why these ones are so calm.”

“The ones we’ve got at home, they’re off,” he went on. “You have to keep them constantly stroked and looked after.”
