Simone Biles Addresses ‘Trash Talking’ Among Gymnasts at 2024 Paris Olympics

Simone Biles and the Team USA women’s gymnastics team put together an impressive performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics this past summer.

Biles furthered her reputation as the greatest gymnast of all time, adding four more Olympic medals to her record-breaking trophy case.

Biles’ first medal of the games came when she and her Team USA teammates Suni Lee, Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles and Hezly Rivera notched gold in the Team finals. After this win, Biles jokingly said their new team name is “F- Around And Find Out.” Biles recently joined Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman Cam Heyward on the Not Just Football podcast. Heyward brought up this team nickname and asked Biles about the trash talking that goes down between Olympic athletes.

Was there a lot of s- talking and trash talking out there?” Heyward asked. “Honestly, no. Everyone thinks it’s such a sport where they pin women against women, but we’re actually very supportive,” Biles replied. “But there was a little tiff here and there,” she continued. “I had to say my piece respectfully, ya know?”

Simone Biles waves during the 2024 U.S. Open at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center on September 5, 2024. Robert Deutsch-Imagn Images Biles later admitted that she can be “petty” when it comes to her critics.

I’ll get my fingers ready to tweet. If you’re tweeting, I’m tweeting,” Biles said. “… If you can dish it out, you better be able to take it.”
