3 MINS AGO: 50 Cent Appears in Court to SNITCH on Diddy!

50 Cent has initiated a legal battle with a jeweler who he claims copied his custom chain necklace and has been using his likeness to sell the pieces.

TMZ reports the rapper – real name Curtis James Jackson – filed a lawsuit against Maksud Agadjani and his TraxNYC Corp., alleging copyright infringement and a violation of his right of publicity.

Maksud has posted content on his social media which feature an imitation 50 Cent necklace along with images of the rapper, but the Power executive producer says the clips can mislead customers into believing he approves of the knockoffs.

50 wants Maksud to pay him at least $5 million in damages, in addition to a judge stopping the jeweler from using the rapper’s likeness.

‘Mr. Jackson takes the unauthorized use of his name and likeness for commercial purposes seriously,’ a representative for the rapper told TMZ.

The lawsuit also states Maksud ‘willfully and knowingly created’ replicas of a necklace custom made for the rapper, according to The Wrap.

‘Defendants, who are in the jewelry business, willfully and knowingly created imitations of an original necklace designed exclusively for Jackson; used Jackson’s name, image and other intellectual property rights to mislead consumers into believing Defendants’ reproductions are affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Jackson; and continue to use Jackson’s name, image and other intellectual property rights for commercial gain,’ reads the lawsuit obtained by The Wrap.

The lawsuit added that Jackson did not buy his necklace from TraxNYC and Maksud and neither did he allow them to ‘capitalize on his goodwill and reputation in order to promote their goods and services.’

The lawsuit claims Maksud showcased the imitation necklace several times from August to October 2024.

Maksud featured 50 Cent’s likeness along with the cross necklace in a post he shared Sunday that advertised his replicas.

’50 Cent got this new cross that I like and guess what, I made it. Why not?… 50, thank you for the inspiration. You’re a true gentleman. I’m sure you won’t mind… I don’t know where 50 got his, but I know where I got mine. From him,’ Maksud said as he showed off a photo of the musician.

50 warned Maksud in the comments section of that video on Tuesday, writing: ‘This was a bad idea, you will regret doing this I promise.’ Maksud replied, ‘@50cent yo don’t you got better things to worry about.’

But on Thursday Trax appeared to be responding to the lawsuit as he took to his Instagram Stories, advising the rapper to ‘forgive’ and ‘forget.’

‘Yo 50,’ he said. ‘The cross is meant for forgiveness, redemption, forgiveness of sins. Forgive, forget. Let it go, brother.’

Maksud included the rapper in several posts showcasing his newest wares, most recently sharing video of his new line of cross necklaces which resembled the rapper's jewelry

50 acknowledged the lawsuit on Thursday as well, posting a screenshot of an article about it.

‘Every now and then someone does something like this. I don’t know why but I do know I’m a need that by Monday,’ he captioned the post.

Not only is Maksud a jeweler, but viewers might also recognize from from the 2019 film Uncut Gems.

In the film, which starred Adam Sandler, Maksud played Yussi.
