Scoring 45 points with a double-double, Luka Doncic still couldn’t save the Los Angeles Lakers without LeBron

While Austin Reaves and Luka Doncic are helpless, the Los Angeles Lakers are in crisis with their third consecutive defeat since the beginning of the week.

The Los Angeles Lakers’ March 14th opened with the news that Rui Hachimura and Jaxson Hayes, along with LeBron James, were sent back to LA early for injury treatment.

The purple and gold team then visited the Milwaukee Bucks. Despite Luka Doncic’s season-high 45 points, the Los Angeles Lakers were defeated 126-106 at the Fiserv Forum.
Luka Doncic scored 45 points, 11 rebounds with 7 successful 3-pointers but still could not help Los Angeles Lakers break the losing streak.
Without Rui Hachimura, Jaxson Hayes and especially LeBron James, Luka Doncic did everything he could to revive the Los Angeles team.

The Slovenian guard scored 45 points with 7 successful 3-pointers, along with 11 rebounds and 3 assists. Austin Reaves also played very hard with 28 points (10-17 FG) with 8 rebounds and 3 assists.

But on the day Gabe Vincent and Dorian Finney-Smith shot a total of only 1-10 3PTs, and the bench players also only shot 3-10 3PTs, the Lakers team could not keep up with the home team Milwaukee Bucks.

Of the total 15 3-pointers the Lakers scored in the entire game, 11 successful shots belonged to Reaves and Doncic.

Luka Doncic has taken on the role of “carrying the team”, but his teammates have not played well.
Following LeBron James’ injury, the Los Angeles Lakers have now lost three straight games and have a total record of 40-24.

The consequence of this streak of matches is that coach JJ Redick and his team have fallen from second place in the Western Conference to fourth place, allowing the Denver Nuggets and Memphis Grizzlies (both with a 42-24 record) to surpass them.

The Lakers are even at risk of continuing to sink to 5th place, where the Houston Rockets (41-25 record) are “breathing hot air” on the backs of the purple and yellow army.
NBA Western Conference Standings After March 14 Matches
Ahead of Luka Doncic and his teammates will be a difficult week with a tight schedule, many “tough opponents” and 2 back-to-back matches, specifically as follows:

Saturday, March 15: Denver Nuggets

Monday, March 17: Phoenix Suns

Tuesday, March 18: San Antonio Spurs

Thursday, March 20: Denver Nuggets

Friday, March 21: Milwaukee Bucks
After a back-to-back matchup against the Bucks and Nuggets this weekend, the Los Angeles Lakers will have another back-to-back matchup against the Bucks and Nuggets next week.
