Stephen Curry Gets New Job, Becomes First NBA Player to Do So

Stephen Curry has just accepted a job at another team, but it’s not an NBA club but the Davidson College basketball team, where Curry once attended.

Stephen Curry is one of the world’s top basketball superstars with countless achievements, records and titles from individual to collective.

He holds the record for the most successful 3-pointers of all time in the NBA, is a 4-time NBA champion, 2-time MVP, 11-time All-Star and 10-time All-NBA first team honoree…

But today, the Golden State Warriors’ “head chef” has just taken a new step, or rather, a new job outside the NBA arena to put him in history once again.
Stephen Curry just did something no one has ever done before in the North American professional sports league system.
According to reputable ESPN journalist Shams Charania, Stephen Curry has accepted an offer to become assistant director in charge of professional affairs at Davidson College, the school he attended and played for before entering the NBA.

With this job, Curry became the first athlete in history who was still playing professionally but was involved in the leadership of a team at the NCAA level.

The history Stephen Curry has made is not just limited to the NBA, but also the entire North American professional sports league system. There has been no parallel in football, baseball or ice hockey.

18 years ago, Stephen Curry attended Davidson College in 2007 and became a star on the school’s basketball team, instantly turning Davidson into a hot team in the NCAA.

By March Madness 2008, Curry and his teammates had reached the top-8 nationally (Elite Eight round), also the furthest they had gone in the NCAA Tournament in school history.

The 2008-09 season was Stephen Curry’s last for Davidson, becoming the NCAA’s “scoring king” before saying goodbye and registering for the 2009 NBA Draft.
Just like in the NBA or Golden State Warriors, Stephen Curry holds many scoring and 3-point shooting records while playing for Davidson College.
