The Kansas City Chiefs are off to a perfect start to the season, winning their first five games for the fifth time in franchise history. With their bye week now behind them, the Chiefs face a grueling 12-game stretch to end the season.

Despite dealing with numerous injuries, the bye week came at a crucial time for the team.

However, the question remains whether they can withstand the physical demands of such a grueling schedule as they attempt to become the first team to win three consecutive Super Bowls.

Their first big test comes today against the San Francisco 49ers in a rematch of last year’s Super Bowl.

Travis Kelce seems a bit slow and ponderous

As Travis Kelce prepared and warmed up for the Kansas City Chiefs‘ biggest game of the season against the San Francisco 49ers, fans noticed a slow and ponderous Kelce.

Could it be that the dinners with Taylor are taking their toll on him? I doubt it, i mean he’s a super athlete, but if he doesn’t look the same as other seasons, maybe age is also taking its toll on him at 35 years old.

Kelce still hasn’t scored a touchdown this season and that’s what causes the most confusion in the fans, who even without having Kelce at 100% they are still undefeated, it seems that he is saving himself for the playoffs.

Despite injuries to three star offensive players (Rice, Pacheco and Brown), the Chiefs are 5-0 for the fifth time in franchise history.

However, in a bad omen, the Chiefs failed to reach the Super Bowl in the four previous instances this century (2003, 2013, 2017, 2018).

Kansas City is as of now the only undefeated teams in the NFL with the lost of the Minnesota Vikings 31-29 against the Detroit Lions.

What’s next for the Chiefs

After today’s tough road game in San Francisco, the Chiefs will play the Raiders in Las Vegas in the first of two games this season.

The game will have a special flavor because of what happened in the offseason when a Raiders player made fun of Mahomes for his similar voice to Kermit the Frog.

The Chiefs will close out the month and start November by hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a matchup of good offenses.
