Tina Knowles Defends Beyoncé and Blue Ivy Against Backlash Over Christmas Halftime Show
Tina Knowles, the mother of global superstar Beyoncé, has taken to social media to defend her daughter following criticism of her recent halftime show performance at the Houston Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens game on Christmas Day. In a passionate Instagram post, Tina expressed her disbelief at the negativity directed towards Beyoncé, questioning why individuals would choose to watch a performance by someone they claim to dislike.
“It is mind-boggling to me that you would take your precious Christmas Day and watch a performance of someone you hate and you don’t think has talent so that you can talk about it later,” the 70-year-old wrote. She continued, “Obviously, you are so obsessed with them, addicted to them, and secretly admire them, wishing you could be them, that you cannot help but to watch and critique and comment and say dumb ridiculous stuff that makes you look like a joke.”

Beyoncé’s performance featured several songs from her latest album, “Cowboy Carter,” and included special appearances by her daughter, Blue Ivy, who joined her on stage to perform their song “Sweet Honey.” The halftime show concluded with Beyoncé’s hit “Texas Hold’em,” during which Blue Ivy showcased her dancing skills, even participating in a line dance with her mother.
Earlier this month, Beyoncé and Blue Ivy made headlines when they walked the red carpet at the premiere of “Mufasa: The Lion King” in Hollywood. Chloe Bailey, Beyoncé’s co-star, expressed her pride in Blue Ivy, highlighting her growth and talent. “I’m so proud of her. She is the best example to look up to, and I can’t wait to see her kill it,” Bailey said.

As Beyoncé continues to shine in her career, Tina Knowles remains a steadfast supporter, fiercely defending her daughter’s legacy against any detractors. The mother-daughter duo’s bond and shared experiences in the entertainment industry continue to inspire fans around the world.
