The 2024 Gold Over America Tour has come to an end. But the memories, moments, and camaraderie will live on forever. For almost two months, the queen of gymnastics, Simone Biles, and her crew of equally fascinating gymnasts hit the road soon after the Paris Olympics. The crew had the crème de la crème of gymnastics, with names like Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, Brody Malone, Paul Juda, and Fred Richard, among others, joining her. But that wasn’t the most exciting part!

The tour went across America, stopping in 32 cities! The tour kicked off in Oceanside, California, on the 16th of September. Then moved to Arizona, Utah, Colorado, and so and so forth. The band of gymnasts finally took their last bow at the Little Caesars Arena in Michigan, Detroit. After spending nearly two months together, the family-like chronicled journey has come to an end. With bittersweet goodbyes waiting at the door. But there is also an abundance of nostalgia in the air for those who were on the tour, leaving their homes miles away!

Biles and Owens welcome Casimir Schmidt

In the pot of brewing talent, there was also a Dutch gymnast that joined the crew. The gymnast was none other than Casimir Schmidt. Casimir, much like Biles, represented his country at the Paris Olympics and joined her on the GOAT adventure soon after. So it comes as no surprise that Casimir, along the way, was dealing with homesickness, too. But worry not; his old friend stepped in to help him!

When the tour hit Biles’s hometown of Texas, she made sure that Casimir was okay. As the tour hit Houston, Casimir found himself welcomed right into Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens’ Texas home. As Casimir himself puts it, “two days in Houston. At her and her husband’s house. And then three days in L.A.” The home visit was not a gesture of pride but of comfort from Biles. The two, after all, share a long history!

Casimir Schmidt and Biles first met at the 2013 World Championships in Antwerp. While it was not the greatest moment for Casimir, there is no forgetting Biles in 2013. That year, she went on to win gold in all-around and floor exercise. But then, in true Biles style, she also went on to win a silver in Vault! Since then, their friendship has stayed intact, with years of shared memories over the course. So when did Casimir visit them in LA?

Well, the Gold Over America Tour hit Los Angeles quite early on September 20th. The Biles GOAT crew went on to perform at the Crypto.com Arena. However, they were in California until September 20th. The Houston stop came much later on the tour. They stopped in Texas for three days between October 18th and October 20th. And the Houston performance at the Toyota Center was on the last day. However, what makes this visit even more exciting is the home that Casimir just visited!

Did Casimir see the Biles-Owens’ dream home?

When Casimir Schmidt spoke about visiting the Biles and Owens home, was it the dream home he was talking about? Simone Biles and Jonathan have been working on their house in Houston since 2020. And it is no ordinary home! It is an embodiment of luxury with everything from a massive gym with vaulted ceilings to a marble-clad bathroom with a freestanding tub, all curated by Biles herself. And Casimir? Well, he just might have gotten the front-row seat to the Texas masterpiece. But that’s not all!

Right before the tour began, Simone Biles did share glimpses of the house’s updates on Instagram as well. One of the pictures even saw Jonathan and Biles in front of their home. Over the course of updates, the world has ever seen a sleek black door, a walk-in closet, and a kitchen with tray ceilings as well as mood lighting! Biles is the kind of queen who could settle down anywhere. But for Simone, it seems like it is all about Texas. Her homeland and the city she was born in are, after all, in this very state. The question now is, will they stay here or move to another place? Only time will tell, but Casimir’s stay gave him a real taste of the true Texan Simone Biles hospitality!
