‘Freak of Nature’: Simone Biles Fans in Shock as Gymnastics GOAT Perfectly Executes Another Skill

Team USA’s Gold Over America Tour is mesmerizing fans across the country. Led by Simone Biles, the pop-style show will soon perform in Sunrise, Florida. And though the gymnasts are quite busy, it doesn’t mean they can’t have fun while on the road. Earlier this month, the gymnasts engaged in a challenge: the Gymnast grip strength challenge. Any guesses as to what Biles’s result showed? It was 60 lbs—the lowest of all the gymnasts present in the video and, no doubt, the fierce competitor in her was pretty disappointed.

To make things worse, Paul Juda hilariously rubbed his strength in Biles’s face. “40 more than the GOAT,” he announced. But do not forget that Biles always avenges her loss, and she did so once again. Biles’s colleague, Ian Gunther, shared a new clip on Instagram highlighting how the squad keeps pushing each other to a greater standard.

The social media post from October 8 shows Gunther, Biles, Joscely Roberson, and others trying their hands at a standing 1.5. Would you be surprised if we told you that Simone Biles was the only one who executed the move with precision?

While Yul Moldauer, Roberson, Gunther, and Casimir Schmidt all failed to land perfectly, Biles not only did it effortlessly but also said, “Imma try it on the beam. Just kidding!” This skill involves a takeoff and then one and a half rotations before landing on the feet.

Later on, Biles tried it once more and landed perfectly yet again. “I’m just a girl,” she said before also stating, “I am the only one that landed a standing 1.5.” Well, it surely is a difficult skill because Gunther wrote in the comment section, “Thought my knees would disintegrate if I went for it.”

This reminds us of all the skills that have been named after Simone Biles:

The Biles (Floor): This was the first move named after Biles and includes a double layout with a half-twist in the second flip. She first performed it at the 2013 World Championships when she was just 16.
The Biles (Vault): Simone Biles performed this skill to excellence at the 2018 World Championships. It is a half-twist onto the vaulting table and then, a front double full somersault.
The Biles II (Floor): This move with two flips and three twists was performed by the gymnast at the 2019 World Championships. It was the second floor skill named after her.
The Biles (Beam): At the 2019 World Championship, she had another skill named after her, where she dismounted from the balance beam with two twists and two flips.
The Biles II (Vault): Named after Biles at the World Championships in 2023, it is a Yurchenko-style vault with two flips in a pike position. Simone Biles was also seen performing this skill during the individual all-around final at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Seeing Biles perform something difficult once again left fans delighted. So they quickly took to Ian Gunther’s post to share their thoughts. What did social media users say?

Simone Biles left people mesmerized!

Considering how gifted Simone Biles is at gymnastics, one person mentioned, “The girl is a freak of nature.

However, the same clip also brought up some bittersweet topics, like Biles’s gymnastics career ahead. She is 27 years old, and that’s why people have been questioning whether or not she will compete in the 2028 LA Olympics. She seems to be keeping her options open for now. On that note, fans wrote:

“THE BILES 5 LA 2028.”
“She will come back for 2028 and win the beam title with that skill.”

Remember how we already mentioned that Biles might try the skill on a beam? Well, the gymnastics community wants to see that.

Omg ON BEAM! Could be the next Biles skill!
i think i would have an actual heart attack if she did that on beam.

But wasn’t just the fans who wanted to see Simone Biles try it out on a beam. Fellow gymnast, Casimir Schmidt, took to the comment section to increase the excitement. “Get this comment to 5k likes and @simonebiles will try it on beam,” he wrote, and, well, his comment surpassed 5k likes!

Now, will Biles post a video of herself attempting it on a beam? We will have to wait and watch.
