Patrick Mahomes continues to star on the gridiron for the Kansas City Chiefs, but fans remain concerned over his family.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback had to prepare to play the Atlanta Falcons while his family was dealing with sad circumstances.

Mahomes’ mother, Randi, recently revealed on social media that his grandfather is in the hospital, suffering from an undisclosed condition.

Randi went on Instagram story and wrote: “This is how I fight my battles. If you are seeing this, take a moment, and PRAY for my dad now.”

Randi also posted on X to share her father’s hospitalization but did not disclose what the issue was.

“Prayer warriors, please pray for my daddy,” she posted on X.

“He is in the hospital and is not well… his name is Randy.”

Fans sent their prayers:

With his grandfather on his mind, Patrick Mahomes went out to Mercedes-Benz Stadium and threw for 217 yards, including scoring throws to Rashee Rice and JuJu Smith-Schuster.

Patrick Mahomes Also Dealing With Jail Sentence of Father

Patrick Mahomes has issues going on throughout his family.

Aside from his sick grandfather, the Chiefs quarterback has to deal with the fact that his father will be behind bars for ten days.

Patrick Mahomes Sr. will be jailed after being convicted of a DWI charge. He was arrested just days before his son won Super Bowl LVIII.

The ex-MLB star was found to have a blood alcohol content of 0.23 during a traffic stop.

This is not his first rodeo, which is why he will also serve five years’ probation whilst Smith County Court also suspended his driver’s license for a year and required the installation of a breathalyzer ignition device to ensure he can’t move his vehicle under the influence again.

If Patrick Mahomes Sr. fails to comply, then the sentence could be extended to 10 years in prison.
