That’s right, fun. Amidst the chaos and performances, the GOAT team went all out to celebrate a fellow gymnast’s birthday. The birthday boy is none other than America’s beloved artistic gymnast Shane Michael Wiskus. Biles, on account of the same, took it to Instagram to give the world a glimpse of the birthday glitz that’s happening behind the scenes. She went on to wish Shane and write, “Happy Birthday Shane.” Talk about a wholesome moment!

But wait, this was no ordinary birthday celebration! It comes hours before the crucial but festive moment. The Gold Over America tour has reached the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, where the team will host a record-breaking show. This is unlike their other stops. The Prudential Center has a capacity for 18,000 fans and is the epitome of venues for entertainment as well as sports. Pollstar Magazine also ranks the venue among the top 5 venues globally. One would imagine that the nerves might catch up to Biles before the big show.

Simone Biles, however, is not flinching! In fact, she is enjoying it and is as ready as ever to create history with her squad. If there is one thing that the GOAT stops in Maverik Center in Salt Lake City and the United Center in Chicago has told us, it is that come what may, the show is set to be an extravaganza. Biles’ is, after all, not new to adding blocks to her legacy. And the birthday? Call it serendipity for a birthday to intertwine so beautifully with the anticipation of an unforgettable performance! But this birthday is something much more, too!

The Wiskus birthday bells during GOAT are not just about cakes and candles! It was also about living by the aim of the tour. The tour celebrates the athletes and the sport without the pressure of medals. As Simone herself puts it in a recent NBC interview, “I feel like what we have out here is really more of a brotherhood and a sisterhood.” And Shane Wiskus’ birthday celebrations were a beautiful display of the same.

As Simone Biles likes to say, “We’re watching out for one another, but we’re also having fun and giving everyone their flowers because we all had such an amazing time in Paris. To celebrate that success with one another, as well as the crowd, is truly a blessing. “As Biles and her team continue their tour, their goal is one thing alone. “Our goal is to entertain the crowd,” said Olympic bronze medalist Frederick Richard, who is also on Simone’s squad. And the goal is sure to be met.

Simone Biles has curated the experiences in a way that resonates with dreamers of today. “/ think every kid out there in the audience can pick out somebody on our tour lineup that looks just like them, and I think that’s really special. I think sports have evolved so much, and there’s really a space for everyone,” she added. With a mission to entertain and inspire, the tour is all set to hit Newark. Following this, on October 2nd, the tour will hit PPG Paints Arena, Pittsburgh, PA.
