Simone Biles returned home from the 2024 Paris Olympics as the most-decorated gymnast in U.S. history.

Before she stepped foot into the Bercy Arena, Netflix premiered the first two episodes of her docuseries, “Simone Biles Rising,” which chronicled her return to gymnastics following a devastating run at the 2020 Tokyo Games and nearly two-year break from the sport.

Netflix’s cameras received special permission to follow Biles as she competed in Paris, powering through a calf strain to with three gold and one silver medal. On Oct. 3, the streaming network dropped the first trailer for Part 2 of the doscueries and revealed the October 25 premiere date.

Biles posted the announcement on X and wrote, “so excited can’t wait for these episodes to drop!” While fans were thrilled at the news, a particular moment in the trailer turned heads.

The 11-time medalist has not yet announced whether she’s plans to retire or return to compete at the 2028 Olympics Games in Los Angeles. However, it appears she will make her decision known in the docuseries. “The goal is to win the Olympics,” Biles says in the trailer. “And then after that we’ll see. Sh, because I’m only telling you guys.” Part of the trailer focuses on her preparation for Paris, and at age 27, how difficult that journey was on her body. “Since I’m older, my body is like a ticking time bomb,” she says.

While not mentioned in the trailer, Biles’ docuseries unknowingly played a huge role in Team USA’s fight for justice regarding Jordan Chiles’ bronze medal. Video evidence was submitted by director Katie Walsh, and Religion of Sports, the production company behind the show, may have delivered the “smoking gun” evidence in Chiles’ appeal with the Swiss Federal Tribunal.
