Traveling together is often the best way to get to know someone. And if you’re bunking beds for two whole months together, while also performing together every week all over the country, the bond will only be even stronger. While Simone Biles is obviously feeling the blues with the Gold Over America Tour coming to an end, the 7x Olympic champ also can’t stop being grateful for the whole experience.

Led by the 27-year-old, Team USA’s stars hit the road just days after the 2024 Olympics for the second edition of the pop-styled gymnastics show. Now that the dust has settled, the GOAT of gymnastics once again had to share her note of appreciation with her enigmatic colleagues.

In her Instagram story on November 18, Biles gave thanks to the people who made the Gold Over America Tour a reality after a gap of three years. Sharing her original IG post, Simone wrote, “Thank you @magicspace_entertainment for believing in my wildest dreams and making them a reality.” Noting how the gymnasts would find it difficult to bring more exposure to the sport without the organizers’ support, Biles gushed, “much love y’all.” In her original post, Biles also nodded her hat at the fans who never failed to fill up the venues that the touring band of gymnasts visited over the past couple of months.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported this journey after the success we had in Paris,” wrote Simone in her social media update from November 18. Mentioning how the athletes made tons of memories together while on tour, she went on to express her gratitude to the gymnastics connoisseurs for doing their part in helping her to continue doing what she loves.

Biles further wrote, “Your energy and love fuel everything I do. Forever thankful, forever inspired.” With that, she signed off with the parting message “STAY GOLDEN 🐐” to all her fans as her post shared snippets from the recently concluded tour. In her later Instagram story, the Olympian also thanked all the sponsors who came together to give the show wings: “a big reason why we were able to perform each & every night,” she acknowledged.

The Gold Over America Tour wrapped up earlier this month on Nov. 3 in Detroit, and Simone Biles, ever the emotional soul, shared a heartfelt series of photos from the tour. Among them were snapshots of herself in tears, calling the final show “Last show day. Bittersweet.” But hey, it wasn’t only Simone whose dreams took flight with the Gold Over America Tour.

Simone Biles was the central piece for the G.O.A.T’s success

In September, an article by Trib Live revealed how the GOAT shows were also a culmination of the big ambitions of Mark Swanhart, the celebrity director-choreographer. Fans got to know how it was Swanhart who first pitched the idea of a national tour for gymnasts after the 2021 Tokyo Games and how he used his extensive work experience to start the ball rolling.

Naturally, it was Biles who first came to his mind to get on board to create hype around the show. Swanhart stated, “We told her we wanted to go out with her and take the best of the best with us. She gathered her gymnasts and we hit the ground running,” about how the gymnastics icon helped to use her platform to make the tour a success.

Biles & Co. also managed to bring some of the biggest stars from all walks of life to their shows. When the G.O.A.T. hit Duluth in October, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, his tennis legend wife Serena Williams, and their daughter Olympia were spotted soaking in the golden magic from the stands.

The family also got to meet the athletes backstage and speculations about seeing Williams and Biles in a doubles matchup once again were rife among their fans.
