Olympic Gold Medalist Simone Biles showed up at the Bears’ preseason game at Soldier Field to support her husband Jonathan Owens. However, she’s receiving backlash on social media for the outfit she wore.

OK, I get it. I know the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers have a Midwest rivalry that’s decades old.

But you have to give Simone Biles a break here. She went to root on her husband, Jonathan Owens, at the Bears’ preseason game on Saturday, and she happened to wear a super-cool custom jacket with his image plastered all over it. We love when they support each other, right?

Except, the jacket was of Owens as a Packer. So there was all this silly backlash over it, as you’ll see.

This is dumb. First off, she was too busy winning Olympic medals to buy a custom Owens with the Bears coat. Second, dude has been a Bear for a minute. There aren’t enough photos of him in Chicago gear to make a new one.

I’m sure she’ll be rocking something more Bears-themed next time and we can move on.
