After conquering her “redemption tour”-aka the 2024 Olympics in Paris-Simone Biles is ready to embrace her homebody era. In 2023, the gold medalist shared that she’s living out her HGTV dreams and broke ground on a brand-new home on a lakefront property in Texas. Her 12.7 million fans have not only been supportive of the new build, but they’re also begging for her very own show. Please tell me you all are recording this,” one fan wrote. Another wrote, “I need a whole HGTV show for this!”
Though no show has been confirmed (yet), Biles gave fans an impromptu home tour in the most recent installment of Simone Biles Rising-and let’s just say it deserves its own medal. For Biles, showing off her soon-to-be new digs is a sign she’s that much closer to moving in. “It’s a little surreal to walk through and see just how far it’s come,” she said. “Last time you guys saw it, it was just bones and a structure.”
The property isn’t finished or furnished, but modern mansion has plenty of curb appeal, thanks to its textured white facade and black trim. Of course, this property offers more than a first impression: With double-height ceilings and a neutral palette, the interiors are just as striking.
During the credits of her hit Netflix docu-series, Biles gave a glimpse of what appears to be her primary bathroom, which boasts a large double vanity and smart mirrors with integrated LED lights.
The rest of the bathroom features a freestanding soaking tub, brass hardware, and lots of marble. Husband Jonathan Owens FaceTimed Biles during the home tour and called this spa-like setup “dope.” The couple’s penchant for marble continues in their contemporary kitchen, which boasts a high-contrast stone for the countertop and backsplash.
The home tour also offered a sneak peek into the gymnast’s office, which suggests a new phase of Biles’s legendary career. “So here is my office,” Biles said. “Who knows what I’ll be doing in here? I’m not sure,” “I just know there will be a desk and a computer.”
Biles could live anywhere-her husband currently plays for the Chicago Bears-so Texas might be a little surprising to some. However, the gymnast’s heart remains in the Lone Star State. Though Biles was born in Ohio, the gymnast has spent a lot of time in Texas-and even purchased a traditional brick home and contemporary ranch-style residence in 2018 and 2020, respectively.
Owens also reportedly has owned property in his hometown of St. Louis and Green Bay, where he used to play football. However, by the sounds of it, the couple might be moving into their forever home. Biles mused: “To see it like this, I’m like ‘I get to live here every day?!”
