Simone Biles Unveils New Gymnastics Move Before GOAT Tour

While Simone Biles has retired the Yurchenko double pike, it doesn’t mean she’s done improving her craft and learning new moves. In fact, ahead of the Gold Over America Tour, the American sensation unveiled a new skill she just learned.

On her Instagram Stories, Biles shared a video in which she mounted on the beam in a rather unique way. She hopped onto the balance beam upside down before turning her body into a neck-stand position. The 27-year-old gymnast then twisted twice to return to her original position.

Biles appeared to do a version of the popular Silivas mount, something that fellow gymnast and rising star Skye Blakely often does.

The 11-time Olympic medalist captioned the post, “learned another new thing.” She also tagged Blakely, telling her that she doesn’t know how the 19-year-old does the beam mount everyday. It’s definitely interesting to see Simone Biles try a variety of gymnastics moves as she and other Olympic gymnasts prepare for the Gold Over America Tour.

More recently, Biles was actually seen trying a pommel horse skill.

The Gold Over America Tour starts on September 16 and lasts until November 2. With that said, fans can expect Biles to learn and pull off more new gymnastics skills. Who knows, Biles might even show fans something new during the tour itself.
