Golden State Warriors fans were left anxious after superstar Steph Curry exited Sunday’s game against the LA Clippers due to a left ankle injury. Curry twisted his ankle in the third quarter and attempted to stretch it on the bench before returning to the court in the fourth.
However, the situation worsened as the two-time league MVP quickly re-injured his ankle and was seen limping to the locker room with the training staff.
“Steph Curry twisted his left ankle late third quarter. Spent his rest time trying to stretch it out,” Anthony Slater of The Athletic reported on X (formerly Twitter). “Entered middle of the fourth quarter and immediately tweaked it again. Limped to locker room with training staff. Mike Dunleavy just went down the tunnel.”

Social media quickly erupted, with countless Warriors fans expressing concern over Curry’s injury so early in the season, just three games in.
“It’s over man I hat Steve Kerr Steph hurt season is over,” a fan wrote.
“We are unbelievably cursed man wtff,” commented another Warriors fan.
“If it’s an ankle sprain he wears ankle braces so he should be ok in a couple of weeks minimally at most like a month. Let’s hope,” wrote another user.
“Damn. I get Steph wants to power thru any ankle injury, but the big concern with ankle injuries is the potential to reaggravate it and that’s what happened here. What could’ve been a short absence is now potentially week-to-week,” said another.
“it’s over Steph please be okay,” commented another.
“Didn’t look too bad of a roll but the fact it happened twice on the same ankle,” another X user said.
