Stephen Curry Reunites with Christian Rapper Who Created Warriors’ “Anthem” Before 3rd Championship Win

Did you know Stephen Curry listens to Christian hip-hop to help him perform better? I can’t guarantee you’ll sink threes after listening to it, but you can surely try. Curry, out with injury, is making full use of the time in his hand. Funnily, imitating his teammates’ euro-step, the Splash Bro has been recovering and enjoying at the same time. He is the face of the Golden State Warriors and rightly so, an amazing person on and off the court.

When I step on the floor, people should know who I represent and who I believe in,” Curry had said on Wade-O Radio Show. Curry has been long known as a Christian. Back in his days at Charlotte Christian School, the hooper had a pregame ritual: listening to Da’ T.R.U.T.H’s “This is for you” before guiding his teammates onto the court for warmups.

In 2018, the 2x MVP along with Bizzle, leader of the God Over Money Movement, and his artist K. Allico concocted the Warriors anthem at that time called “Winners”. It was GSW’s theme song during the playoffs in 2018. Interestingly, the Splash Bro has recently reunited with Bizzle, who posted a picture of them together on his Instagram story overlaid with text that said “Always dope to catch up with this guy…” The story was reshared by Stephen Curry.

Bizzle first revealed the collaboration with the Warriors back in February 2018 through an Instagram post. In the photo, the rapper posed with Curry, hinting at the project by saying, “Something special coming soon.” “Warriors come out to play … All day winning … Warriors for the kingdom,” Steph, the rapper, and his co-stars/fans were then heard rapping and vibing on in the later viral video.

The 4x champion has also been supporting the Warriors from the sidelines and providing entertainment as well. During the game against the Houston Rockets, he was out because of his ankle injury but that didn’t stop him from imitating a slo-mo eurostep from his teammate Kyle Anderson. Let us look at the possibilities when will be the star back in action.

When will Stephen Curry be back in action?

Curry’s status was recently updated from ‘out’ to ‘questionable’ on the Warriors’ injury report, hinting that his return to play could be just around the corner. It’s yet to be decided whether he will suit up for Monday’s game against the Wizards or later in the road trip, but a decision is expected soon. During an optional practice at Georgetown on Sunday, Warriors’ head coach Steve Kerr remained tight-lipped about Curry’s potential appearance in the Wizards game. Curry, who was re-evaluated that day, participated in practice.

He looks good, but it’s all about how he feels after the workout tomorrow, so we’ll see,” Kerr shared.

The Splash Bro has been sidelined for the last three games because of a left ankle sprain, officially diagnosed as a left peroneal strain. The injury occurred during Golden State’s only loss of the season so far, against the LA Clippers. He initially twisted his ankle while navigating through a screen, then, after briefly stretching on the bench, re-injured it while attempting to set a screen.

Through his three games this season, the Warriors’ talisman has put up averages of 18.3 points, 6.7 assists, and 5.3 rebounds. Remarkably, they’ve gone 3-0 without Curry, highlighted by an exciting victory over the Rockets on Saturday night. This already ties last season’s record when Golden State went 3-5 in games Stephen Curry missed. Head coach, Steve Kerr, has emphasized that this year’s squad, thanks to its depth, is better equipped to handle the absence of key players. What do you think?
