With 11 Olympic medals hanging in her locker, Simone Biles has pretty much done it all in gymnastics—from executing the jaw-dropping Yurchenko Double Pike to soaring 12 feet in the air during floor routines. But even with her impressive feats, she can’t be in two places at once. Recently, she had to miss her husband Jonathan Owens‘s back-to-back football games on Sundays. Things reached peak drama last weekend when Owens’s team faced off against Biles’s beloved Houston Texans.

Choosing between cheering for her hubby or her favorite team could’ve been a real toughie for Biles. Her absence made the decision for her this time, but with future games on the horizon, the balancing act might just be in play again.

Simone Biles’ Gold Over America Tour might prevent her from attending Jonathan Owens’ games

Simone Biles’s Gold Over America Tour has kicked off with all the pizzazz you’d expect from gymnastics royalty! The show launched on September 16 in Oceanside, marking the start of a pop-themed extravaganza that’s got fans buzzing. Simone’s been sharing sneak peeks of her tour prep, and let’s just say, it’s no wonder she had to skip Jonathan Owens’s game on Sunday. The game was in Houston’s NRG Stadium, while Simone is currently soaking up the California sun.

Traveling back and forth would’ve meant a grueling 5-hour flight, and Simone wasn’t about to trade her GOAT-worthy performance for a few hours in the stands. Jonathan’s squad didn’t fare too well, missing out on the extra boost of Simone’s cheering from the sidelines. But don’t worry, the drama doesn’t end there!

The tour’s next stop is San Jose on September 21, but Jonathan’s Chicago Bears are scheduled to face off against the Indianapolis Colts on September 22. With an 8-hour flight between these cities, it’s a bit of a logistical nightmare for the couple. Simone’s got to hit the stage in Salt Lake City on September 23, and she’s on the move again to Sunrise on October 6 for her next show, just as Jonathan is gearing up for a clash with the Carolina Panthers in Chicago. But wait, there’s a glimmer of hope! The pair will get a bit of a breather on September 29.

When can fans see Biles cheering for her beloved husband?

On August 19, before diving into the Chicago Bears versus Cincinnati Bengals matchup, Simone Biles dropped a little reminder for her fans. She opened up about the reality of her packed schedule, revealing that attending every game Jonathan Owens plays up until November 3 might be a tall order. Simone’s been laser-focused on making the Gold Over America Tour even bigger and better than its 2021 debut, which means a hefty chunk of her time is dedicated to rehearsals and performances.

“If you guys aren’t aware, I host the Gold Over America Tour, and I think right now we’re doing about 32 stops,” she shared. With both stars’ schedules in high gear, it’s been a challenge to sync up. But hold on to your seats because there’s a silver lining!

On September 29, the Chicago Bears will take on the Los Angeles Rams at Soldier Field, and guess what? Simone will be in the same city, performing at the United Center—just 5 miles away. So, could we be in for a special surprise? Could Simone and Jonathan sneak in a cheer for each other from their respective venues? We’re crossing our fingers! What do you think? Let us know!
