Travis Kelce Is Pissed Off Over The Kansas City Chiefs’ 2025 Schedule For One Main Reason

The NFL schedule release is usually an awesome way for fans to plan out their year, but it is not so great for many players once they find out when and where their team will be playing every week.

Plenty of marquee matchups have already been leaked with the NFL schedule fully unveiled on Wednesday night. One of the early rumors suggested that the Los Angeles Chargers would open the season with a Week 1 Friday night matchup in Brazil.

Many rumors have already stated that their opponent will be the Kansas City Chiefs.

While the NFL confirmed all international matchups on Tuesday, this specific game remained unannounced.

However, Travis Kelce seems to already know that it will be his squad. He revealed this on the most recent episode of the “New Heights” podcast.

“This doesn’t come out till Wednesday?” Kelce said. “Yeah, we’re definitely playing in Brazil. I also heard those rumors.”

The Chiefs’ tight end also stated he wouldn’t be doing a podcast, and he did not sound too excited about that.

“I’ll be there, not to do a podcast. I’ll be playing football in the f—ing heat.”

Older brother Jason told Travis Kelce the field was ‘ atrocious’ for their 2024 game against Green Bay Packers.

‘The old field thing,’ Kelce said back, before joking about losing the Super Bowl to the Eagles that same season.

“I’ll tell you what, they were not slipping in New Orleans. I was slipping in New Orleans.”

‘There’s just something about getting close to the equator, I don’t want to put on a football uniform. I’ve been in Jacksonville in September, that’s f***ing miserable.

‘Sao Paulo, is that by the water? I’d rather it be dry than humid, I’m a sweaty guy. If it is humid, I am going to be miserable. But I am going to find a way to get a win.’

Jason replied: ‘Well, prepare to be miserable. You’re surrounded by the Amazon rainforest.’

Travis continued: ‘I am going to be sweating so bad.

‘I am going to have to ask the equipment guys for a couple of jerseys, maybe three pairs of pants. Maybe four cleats, I might just go through a pair.’

Jason added: ‘Socks, you’ve got to think about that. Shoes, soggy shoes.’

The 2024 season marked Kelce’s toughest since becoming a star, recording career lows of 823 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Over the past few seasons, Kelce has been candid about the prospect of retiring, but he chose to come back for at least one more year in 2025. He signed a two-year extension in April that will keep him with the team through the 2027 season.

Last season, Kelce recorded 97 receptions on 133 targets for 823 yards and three touchdowns.

His apparent weight loss and a fully healthy receiving corps in 2025 should help his yards per reception return to what he is used to.
