Travis Kelce talks about the Chiefs’ first loss of the season to the Buffalo Bills on Podcast
Travis Kelce opened up about the Kansas City Chiefs’ first loss of the 2024 season to the Buffalo Bills on the New Heights Podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother Jason.
The brothers discussed the emotional impact of the 30-21 defeat, which occurred on the road in Buffalo, and the challenges of playing in front of a rowdy crowd.
When Jason asked Travis how he felt after the loss, Travis admitted it was a tough one but not as frustrating as other close calls in the past. “It was a bad feeling,” Travis said.
He acknowledged the strength of the Bills but emphasized that the Chiefs were not inferior. “As the game got closer, the pressure from the crowd was intense—it was the worst I’ve seen at a Buffalo home game.”
Jason highlighted the bizarre antics of Bills fans, mentioning they even hung a Kermit the Frog in a Mahomes jersey before the game. Travis added, “It was a great game for the Bills, but those images of Patrick Mahomes are unacceptable. He did nothing to deserve that.”
The brothers also discussed the absence of Taylor Swift at the game. Travis explained that she couldn’t attend due to her Eras Tour schedule but did make a brief appearance at the end of the game. “She came by at the end,” he said, smiling as Jason reacted with surprise.
After the podcast, Travis joined Taylor in Rhode Island for a short vacation before returning to his training. Taylor, who is finishing her Eras Tour with three final concerts in Toronto, paid tribute to Travis during her performance at the Rogers Centre on November 16. While performing Midnight Rain, she incorporated one of Travis’s signature dance moves, which fans noticed as a playful nod to him.
The couple continues to navigate their busy schedules while supporting each other, balancing their personal and professional lives in the spotlight.
