Caitlin Clark’s Interaction With LeBron James Catches Attention
After making it to the All-WNBA first-team, Caitlin Clark is gearing up for her second season with a reloaded Indiana Fever team.
Although Clark didn’t participate in the inaugural Unrivaled season, she has made the most of her offseason. Including speaking at numerous events and a pro-am golf tournament, Clark has attended multiple Indiana Pacers games.
Clark’s latest appearance at Gainbridge Fieldhouse came on Wednesday, March 26, when the Pacers hosted LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.
Clark was watching the Lakers’ 120-119 win from her suite alongside her boyfriend and Butler assistant coach Connor McCaffery. Although there is no visual evidence, Pacers and Fever beat writer Scott Agness of Fieldhouse Files reported that Clark met up with LeBron after the game.
“Caitlin Clark was in a suite for the game with her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery,” Agness wrote. “After the game, James met with Clark — also a Nike athlete — for the first time outside of the Lakers’ locker room, per league sources.”
Some NBA and WNBA fans were intrigued by the idea that Clark and LeBron had time to chat, taking to social media to leave their thoughts.
“Lebron met Caitlin outside the locker room after the Lakers vs Pacers game and nobody caught it smh,” one fan said.
“Lebron has always shown her respect and supported her when people questioned her talent vs hype. Plus, both being Nike athletes, I’m sure they wanted to finally meet,” added another.
“Connor McCaffrey is out hear living the dream lmao,” claimed a third.
Other fans were upset that there was no photo evidence.

It’s tough to say what LeBron and Clark could have discussed. Maybe it had something to do with their Nike partnerships; perhaps it was just greatness respecting greatness. But to be a fly on the wall for that conversation would have been something special.
