With shouts of the WNBA targeting rookie sensation Caitlin Clark still echoing, footage now shows how she also commits hard fouls in the spirit of competition.

Earlier in the season, newer fans cried foul when Clark was on the receiving end of a hard swipe from fellow rookie Angel Reese in a showdown against the Chicago Sky.

As Clark took off for a layup, Reese extended her wingspan – attempting to block the shot. However, after completely missing the ball, Reese’s forearm met the side of Clark’s head, causing her to drop to the hardwood.

However, footage from a recent win over the Atlanta Dream shows how the Indiana Fever star also dishes her share of hard fouls.

Like Reese’s foul on her months back, Clark’s violation came in an attempt to redirect a layup from Jordin Canada.

While Clark’s run was well-timed, Canada beat her to the air and got the ball out of her fingertips. Unfortunately, upon her release, Clark’s arm clocked her in the face in a downward clothesline.

The seven-year veteran laid down under the ring upon contact. Meanwhile, Clark walked away from the play as Reese did with her in June.

The unwarranted cries on Clark’s behalf were louder when she got body-checked by Chennedy Carter in an earlier game against the Sky.

Still, the clip from the Atlanta matchup proved Clark is not exactly an innocent target but a fierce competitor like her contemporaries.
