Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is on pace to break multiple records vs. Bengals

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is beginning to own the records and accomplishments. He became the franchise leader in passing yards during the Week 1 victory over the Baltimore Ravens, and that appears to be the first of many to fall this season.

The Chiefs reigning Super Bowl MVP will only be making his 98th career start on Sunday. With a win against Cincinnati, Mahomes will tie Tom Brady and Pro Football Hall of Famer Roger Staubach at 76 career wins. All three would be tied for most wins by a quarterback in his first 100 career starts.

Mahomes is also likely to surpass Matthew Stafford for the most completions by a quarterback in his first 100 career starts with five. Three touchdown passes will put Mahomes on target to overtake Aaron Rodgers’ 222 touchdown passes for the most by a quarterback in his first 100 career starts.

Mahomes’ destined Hall of Fame career could see many more records fall his way before he decides to hang up the cleats. He won’t personally dwell on these accolades without a victory over their long-time AFC rival Bengals this Sunday.
