Netflix is embracing the hype surrounding the NFL’s Christmas Day games, releasing a new trailer to remind fans of what’s coming on December 25.

In doing so, the streaming giant gave a cheeky nod to pop icon Taylor Swift, one of the NFL’s most talked-about celebrity supporters.

The NFL’s Christmas games have been a major hit since becoming a staple of the league’s schedule in 2020.

Eleven games have taken place on the festive day, with last year marking the Kansas City Chiefs’ debut.

Although the Chiefs opened their Christmas campaign with a 20-14 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, the ratings-and Kansas City’s subsequent victory in Super Bowl LVIII-guaranteed the team’s return to the 2024 holiday lineup.

This year, Netflix will stream the game live to audiences worldwide, with hopes that Swift will grace the boxes at Acrisure Stadium, cheering on her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

Taylor Swift’s frequent appearances at NFL games have delighted fans and irritated critics alike. Since going public with Kelce last year, Swift has been spotted at more than a dozen games, including the Chiefs’ triumphant Super Bowl LVIII victory.

Her Christmas visit to Arrowhead Stadium last year was particularly memorable. Sporting a festive Santa hat, Swift was seen enthusiastically cheering alongside Brittany Mahomes, wife of Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
