“7 Days in Bigfoot Territory: The Unforgettable Encounters and Eerie Events That Left Me Shaken to My Core!”
Deep in the Wilderness: A Sasquatch Expedition
I recently spent seven days deep in the Canadian wilderness, searching for Sasquatch with a small team of researchers. What transpired during that week was beyond anything I could have imagined. We discovered dozens of tree breaks and structures that were clearly not natural, yet they couldn’t have been created by humans either. It was as if something had intentionally crafted these formations.

As we ventured deeper, we heard wood knocks echoing through the mountains, a sound that sent chills down my spine. “What did you hear exactly?” one of my companions asked. “It was like two tree dogs,” I replied, still trying to process the strangeness of our surroundings. We found multiple massive footprints, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that I wasn’t imagining things. “Are you seeing what looks like a big toe impression here?” I asked, kneeling to examine the ground. “You can feel it. Stick your hand in there.” It was unmistakably lower than any human footprint.
As if that wasn’t enough, we encountered apples taken from a height of 15 feet up in a tree. “We came back today, and all the apples are now gone,” I noted, bewildered. One night, something walked right up to my trailer and shook it hard enough to wake me from a dead sleep. The culmination of these events left me in the hospital, but I didn’t just hear things or see traces of evidence—I saw something alive. This is the true story of everything that happened that week.
Our expedition was led by Todd Standing, a name that evokes strong opinions. Some people hear that name and immediately form judgments. But let me be clear: everything I witnessed and heard during this expedition actually happened. So, believe what you want about Todd, but the experiences we had out there are real, regardless of anyone’s opinion.
After my footage went public, I received calls from three women who had their own Sasquatch encounter on the same highway where I filmed. They claimed that the Sasquatch I captured on camera was the same one they had seen.
Once we reached base camp, the atmosphere was electric. I was entrusted with some serious gear, ready for whatever might come our way. As we settled into our trailers, I felt a mix of excitement and apprehension. My name is John Huninger, and I’m from Indianapolis, Indiana. This was not my first expedition; I had been on a couple before. Last year, during a similar trip, I experienced the loudest wood knock I had ever heard, followed by some bizarre readings Todd was getting with his “mind speak.”
Now, I know that “mind speak” might sound strange if you think Sasquatch is just an undiscovered ape. But there’s more evidence for the bizarre aspects of this phenomenon than most people realize. David Politis, the man behind Missing 411, recently released a documentary titled American Sasquatch: Man, Myth, or Monster. In it, he approaches the subject without pushing a theory, simply laying out the evidence piece by piece. What he reveals is shocking, showing that the undiscovered ape hypothesis falls short.
On our first day of the expedition, Todd took us out on barely passable logging roads. I didn’t expect to find anything unusual right away, but I was dead wrong. Almost immediately, we stumbled upon tree breaks that were clearly not natural. “This wasn’t here last time I visited,” I remarked, noting the fresh break. “That’s a Sasquatch tree break, but it’s eight years old.”

Todd explained that these breaks were different from what would happen in nature. “Normally, wood will splinter at an angle under shear stress, but these tree breaks are tensile fractures. There’s a style to it, a meaning behind it.” We attempted to recreate the breaks, but no matter how hard we tried, we couldn’t replicate the precise nature of the Sasquatch breaks.
After a lunch of Montreal smoked meat, I figured the tree breaks would be the highlight of our day. However, we soon discovered something even more intriguing: a bent living tree, still alive with foliage at the top. “This is not a very big Sasquatch; it’s a small female,” Todd speculated, pointing out tracks nearby. We decided to cast the footprint, and as we mixed plaster, the excitement built.
That night, as we settled into our trailers, something strange happened. Just before 3:00 AM, I felt a noticeable tremor in the trailer. Todd was sound asleep, and I was frozen in bed. I initially brushed it off, but when I learned that Rick in the neighboring trailer experienced something similar, I began to worry. “It seemed like something bumped against the trailer,” Rick said. “But there were no footprints or hand marks.”
The following day, we decided to test the theory of Sasquatch taking apples from our gifting site. We placed apples high in a tree and leaned sticks against the trunk to see if they would be disturbed. To our astonishment, when we returned, two apples were gone, but the sticks remained undisturbed. “Whatever took them must have done so without disturbing anything else,” I noted, my heart racing.
As the expedition continued, I felt increasingly unwell. I eventually had to visit the hospital, where I learned I had a viral infection—not pneumonia, thankfully. Although I was disappointed to miss part of the expedition, I returned to base camp to find that we had experienced more strange occurrences.
One evening, while exploring alone, I saw something moving swiftly through the trees. “It was bipedal,” I told the group later. “It didn’t look like an elk or a bear.” John corroborated my experience, having heard similar noises.
As we prepared to leave the area known as the Penner playground, I reflected on the incredible evidence we had gathered. From tree structures to the mysterious apple thefts, every experience felt significant. “Did we capture the next Patterson-Gimlin film? No, but the presence we felt out there was undeniably real,” I concluded.
I’m committed to uncovering the truth about these beings, and I invite you to join me on this quest.
