Trump attacks ‘demented’ and ‘disgusting’ Whoopi Goldberg at rally: “What a loser she is”

During his rally speech in Reading, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday evening, Donald Trump called Whoopi Goldberg a “demented” and “disgusting” person, just days after Goldberg co-hosted Vice President Kamala Harris on The View.

As is typical for Trump, the former president took time during his rally to criticize Harris and other individuals, particularly those who had recently hosted the vice president on talk or radio shows.

Addressing the crowd in this pivotal swing state, Trump referred to Harris’s interview on The View on Tuesday as “stupid” and said it featured “really dumb people,” but then specifically targeted Goldberg, a long-standing co-host and vocal Trump critic.

“I did a walk-on for Whoopi Goldberg now she says ‘I refuse to mention his name,’” Trump said, alluding to a cameo appearance he made in Goldberg’s 1996 sports comedy Eddie.

“You know what, politics can do strange things to demented people,” he added.

The former president alleged that Goldberg once praised him, telling him he was “so great” and eagerly wanted him to be part of the film. He claimed she also said, “If you ever ran for president, you’d win.”

In recent times, Goldberg has used terms like “moron,” “unhinged,” and “dictator” to describe Trump. She has famously vowed never to say his name out loud, often referring to him as “you-know-who.”

Trump shared with his audience that he once employed Goldberg for a comedy act, but she was “filthy, dirty, disgusting” and used obscene language, which prompted people to walk out.

“What a loser she is,” Trump told rallygoers.

The former president also criticized radio host Howard Stern for hosting Harris on his show, claiming Stern is a “weak guy” for asking the vice president easy questions.

“I used to think he was good then I dropped him, I dropped him like a dog,” Trump said. It’s common for Trump to insult those who publicly oppose or ridicule him during his extensive rally speeches.

On Wednesday, Trump also criticized Goldberg, Stern, California Governor Gavin Newsom, Utah Senator Mitt Romney, former President Jimmy Carter, Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey, Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, President Joe Biden, and prosecutor Jack Smith.
