Neglected Dog’s Cries Lead to Rescue and Safe Birth of Her Puppies
When neighbors heard a dog yelping nonstop, many assumed she had gone mad. In reality, her cries were a desperate call for help that would end up saving her life—and the lives of her unborn puppies.
The dog had been left without food or water for several days, trapped by the very person meant to care for her. Her relentless cries finally drew the attention of neighbors, who alerted local authorities.
Responding to the call, local police worked alongside eBay Belercum, an organization of independent animal defenders running a shelter for nearly 30 dogs and cats in Belercum, Par Par.

After enduring years of neglect and malnutrition, the dog was finally freed. Rescuers gave her a thorough bath and brought her in for her first health check.
One of the first steps was removing ticks from her ears and placing her in a recovery room. A veterinarian then conducted blood tests to assess her condition, which revealed she was pregnant. Thankfully, despite her weakened state, she had no serious health issues.

Over the following days, she received proper care, including vaccinations and an X-ray to monitor the health of her puppies. With daily meals and medical attention, she steadily gained weight, adding 1.4 kilograms.
Her demeanor softened as well—she became more trusting and affectionate toward people, winning the hearts of her rescuers.

As her due date approached, veterinarians decided to transfer her to a hospital to ensure a safe delivery, given her underweight condition. Fortunately, the birth went smoothly, and she gave birth to three healthy puppies.

Thanks to the combined efforts of compassionate neighbors, local police, and dedicated rescuers, this brave mother and her puppies now have a future filled with hope. Her story is a powerful reminder that sometimes, cries for help can lead to the most beautiful new beginnings.
