Fans Speculate About Travis Kelce’s Hidden Message to Taylor Swift in Acting Debut

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is more than just a football player, and on Wednesday, fans got to see him put his impressive acting chops to use for the first time.

The seven-time All-Pro appeared in FX’s “Grotesquerie,” a 10-episode drama series created by Ryan Murphy that centers around “heinous” crimes in a small town. The series stars Niecy Nash-Betts as “Detective Lois Tryon,” and saw Kelce make an appearance during Wednesday’s episode.

Kelce played a nurse named Ed “Eddie” Laclan at the hospital where Tyron’s (Nash-Betts) dying husband was being cared for. As a thank you to Kelce’s character, Nash-Betts’ character offers to bake him his favorite cake, which Laclan (Kelce) replies to with an odd request of an unfrosted pop-tart.

While most fans of the show may have just thought that Kelce’s character was a bit odd for this, fans of his 14-time Grammy-winning girlfriend, Taylor Swift, speculate it was a callback to when Swift made homemade pop-tarts for Kelce and the Chiefs.

“I screamed! Tay is such an intricate part of his life, she’s showing up in his movie roles,” wrote one fan.

“Tay all through it! I thought about the first photos of them when the two characters were in the convertible and she threw her hands up too,” added another.

“Hehe, another Tay reference,” wrote another user.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid was actually the person who shared the pop-tart story at the NFL Scouting Combine back in February when talking with Chris Simms and Mike Florio.

“She likes to cook, so she made the offensive linemen these homemade pop tarts,” Reid said. “… She didn’t give me one, and the offensive linemen definitely didn’t give me one.”

While Swift didn’t give Reid a pop-tart, he did praise her for being “grounded” despite being arguably the most famous person in the world.

Kelce and Swift are believed to have been dating since September of 2023, according to TODAY. They have certainly formed one of the most famous couples in the world, and are both busy in their respective fields.

Kelce is in the process of pursuing a third-straight Super Bowl with the Chiefs, while Swift is preparing to continue her Eras Tour.
