On Sunday Night Football, the Kansas City Chiefs moved to 3-0 after defeating the Atlanta Falcons 22-17. The Falcons, after stunning the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2, now sit at 1-2.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes helped guide his team to another win by completing 26-of-39 passes for 217 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. He also added 17 yards on the ground. Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins nearly led his team to a game-winning drive in the final minutes, but they fell 13 yards short of the endzone after being stopped on 4th-and-1 with 56 seconds remaining.

Images After the game, Mahomes and Cousins greeted each other at midfield with a handshake, hug and a few words. The official Chiefs social media account posted a video of the two quarterback’s interaction with the caption, “GG, Atlanta Falcons.”
