Beyoncé is reportedly standing firmly by her husband, Jay-Z, amidst explosive rape allegations from an incident that allegedly occurred 23 years ago. A source disclosed to Mail Online that the music icon is “1,000 percent” certain of Jay-Z’s innocence, yet she’s grappling with the emotional weight of the situation.

The insider shared: “Beyoncé is upset and concerned about the allegations brought on to her husband. She 1,000 percent believes him. But as a mother of a daughter at a similar age to the accuser at the time, it is heartbreaking.”

The accusations center around a woman, known only as Jane Doe, who claims Jay-Z, now 55, and Sean “Diddy” Combs drugged and raped her when she was just 13 during a 2000 MTV Video Music Awards afterparty. Jay-Z has strongly refuted these allegations, labeling them as unfounded.

Judge Analisa Torres has recently ruled that the accuser can maintain her anonymity in the forthcoming phase of the legal proceedings. The source continued: “Beyoncé, who has been blessed with a life where she usually has control of her own narrative, now has to deal with this, and there isn’t anything she can do except support her man and be there for each other as the legal side of things goes through its motions.”

This case has caused “emotional turmoil” for Beyoncé, who initially thought about taking action to publicly defend Jay-Z, reports the Express US.

However, another confidant mentioned that she has opted to let the legal system take its course, stating: “She knows she must let this play out and not try to get involved anymore because it really does not involve her at all.”

Jay-Z hit back in a rare outburst, accusing lawyer Tony Buzbee, who represents his accuser, of extortion and slinging mud through a bogus lawsuit. The rap mogul didn’t mince words, stating: “‘I have no idea how you have come to be such a deplorable human Mr. Buzbee, but I promise you I have seen your kind many times over,’ Jay-Z remarked in his statement.”
