Chained Dog’s Rescue: Journey from Neglect to Love and Healing Begins
A dog that had never known freedom spent its entire life chained in a garden, according to its owner who initially brought the dog to guard the premises.
For three long years, the dog lived in isolation, never leaving its confined space—until today, when we discovered him.
The sight was heartbreaking. The dog was extremely underweight, reduced to skin and bones. The chain around its neck had been fastened so tightly that its head was swollen and the constant rubbing had left severe wounds.
Witnessing this, we felt a profound sense of anger and determination to intervene.
After a discussion with the owner, who easily parted with the dog due to its poor condition, we freed the animal from its chains and took it to a veterinary hospital. The dog’s mouth was so swollen that eating was impossible.
In order to help it survive, the veterinarian gently fed it milk through a tube. The dog lay quietly as its matted fur was shaved off, revealing its sad eyes filled with tears—which prompted tears in our own eyes as well.
Once shaved, the dog received a thorough cleaning, along with medication to reduce swelling and inflammation. Later that day, we revisited him with a large bag of food.
Showing signs of improvement, the dog ate enthusiastically. Overcome with emotion, we couldn’t help but feel tears ourselves, realizing that he was likely experiencing kindness and plentiful food for the first time.
Our resolve is to care for him well, providing a loving environment to help him heal from his past.
