Rallying for Mandai Mama: Community Unites to Support Beloved Dog’s Cancer Battle

In an appeal posted on their Facebook page, the organization reached out to the public for financial support, anticipating the costs of a potential surgery.

Sadly, a report shared on April 16 revealed some distressing news. It was discovered that Mandai’s tumor was aggressive and could not be removed.

“We learned from Mandai Mama’s CT scan that her tumor is inoperable and the cancer has spread. For now, she will require hospice care,” the organization stated.

Despite the hopeful progress and the efforts made so far, Mandai’s journey is far from over. Her condition still requires continuous medical attention, specialized treatment, and daily care—all of which come at a significant cost. While her prognosis offers a glimmer of hope, the financial burden of her recovery remains heavy. Ongoing support is essential to ensure she receives everything she needs to heal fully and live the comfortable, pain-free life she deserves.

She has shown some improvement since being taken off the streets, thanks to the dedicated care she receives at Gentle Paws, a sanctuary for elderly dogs.
