That morning, the sky was still gray after a night of rain. Wan Dharma, 74, was sweeping away leaves and rotting wood beneath his old wooden porch. It was a routine chore, but within minutes, it turned into a nightmare he would never forget.
The First Discovery
As he pried up a rotting plank with a rod, he saw a cluster of ivory-white eggs, oval-shaped, packed tightly together. At first, he thought they were chicken or snake eggs – nothing unusual. But the sheer number made him uneasy: not dozens, but hundreds, stretching deep into the dark crawl space.
Uneasy, he took out his phone to snap photos and sent them to his nephew, who worked in wildlife conservation. Minutes later, the reply came:
“I’ve never seen anything like this. Don’t touch them. I’ll alert the team.”
A Disturbing Change
While waiting, he noticed something alarming: within hours, the shells shifted from white to cream, with dark, vein-like markings spreading across them.
Worse, when he shone a light deeper, he saw more clusters hidden between beams and in damp soil. He had no idea he was standing above an unknown potential threat.
The Arrival of the Hazmat Team
By midday, a team in full protective suits arrived with sealed containers.
“Stand as far back as you can, don’t touch anything,” one instructed. They quickly set up quarantine tape, taking photos and readings.
Everything seemed contained – until a faint cracking sound broke the silence.
The Breathless Moment
Hairline cracks appeared on the shells. Something inside was moving.
“They… are hatching earlier than expected,” a young member muttered.
The first egg split open – revealing a long, snake-like creature with tiny legs, its slick silver-gray body glistening. Its eyes shone like metal under the light.
Then, dozens more eggs burst, releasing identical creatures that darted quickly into the floor gaps.

The team leader shouted for immediate evacuation. One officer spoke urgently into a phone:

Red quarantine tape surrounded the house. Medical staff arrived with toxin detectors and decontamination gear.
The Neighborhood in Silence
News spread fast. Residents gathered outside the cordon, eyes fixed on the silent house, hearing only faint clinks of tools and strange hisses from inside.
Elders whispered: “Could be monster eggs… or something from underground.” Children were kept inside, forbidden to approach.
Preliminary Results – But No Safety Yet
Late that night, a preliminary report revealed: the creatures did not match any known biological record. It could be an undiscovered species – or a genetically altered form of unknown origin.
With no clear measure of danger, the lockdown remained absolute until all egg clusters were neutralized.
The Discoverer Becomes the Confined
Ironically, the man who found them – Wan Dharma – was now not allowed to leave his home, due to possible exposure. He stayed isolated in one corner, with food and water passed through a window.
When asked what he feared most, he simply said:
“I’m afraid… this isn’t the only nest.”
