Forever inked, forever linked! Simone Biles just added a special touch to her love story with her husband Jonathan Owens by getting a new tattoo during her Gold Over America Tour. While on a brief break from her busy schedule, she opted for a small “J” etched on her left hand by tattoo artist Sydney Smith. But why did she choose this design?

In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, Simone revealed the heartfelt choice behind her new ink. When asked by a host to show off her tattoo, she shared how it symbolizes her love for Jonathan. Well, Biles revealed, “Well, it’s very sentimental, and he also has an ‘S’ on his ring finger, um, as just like an ode to me. He loves me so much; I love him, and I knew that it would be such a big surprise. I actually called him the other day because we got tatted in Arizona after the show—literally two days ago. I just got it!“.

It’s not just Simone Biles who’s showing her love through tattoos; Jonathan Owens kicked things off months ago! On July 6, this year, Simone shared a sweet moment on her Instagram Stories, revealing Jonathan’s stylish “S” tattoo on his ring finger. And to keep the love going, during the same tour, Simone added one more tattoo on the neck that says “Made in Heaven.

It doesn’t seem like they’re far apart at all! While Simone Biles is out enjoying her tour, Jonathan Owens is giving it his all in the NFL. Despite their busy schedules as professional athletes, the couple stays connected through their love. They even got matching “444″ tattoos back in 2023, symbolizing “4 better, 4 worse, 4 ever.” But it’s not just Simone who has embraced meaningful tattoos during such a big event.

Simone Biles’ tattoos are more than just body art

Shane Wiskus and Casimir Schmidt joined the tattoo party too! They both visited Jesse Tattoo, with Wiskus going for a tarot card design on his leg and Schmidt choosing to get the number 13 inked on his arm. Meanwhile, Biles also has her own collection of personal tattoos.

Simone Biles got her very first tattoo shortly after her Olympic debut in Rio, where she brought home four gold medals and one bronze. Once back in the States, she couldn’t resist getting the Olympic rings inked on the inside of her right arm. Since then, her tattoo collection has blossomed. She has her birth year 1997 and the word “golden” on her left wrist as well.

One of her most personal tattoos sits on her collarbone, saying “And still I rise,” inspired by Maya Angelou’s famous poem, which she got in 2021 after withdrawing from the Tokyo Olympics due to twisties. Each piece of ink tells a story of her different chapters of life, showing her growth and experiences as both an athlete and a person.
