Sources claimed the resort was already booked next June 13 by another couple, so Swift successfully offered them lavish financial compensation to make them give up that date and allow her and Kelce to take it, according to Page Six.
Now, however, a representative for Ocean House has firmly denied the story to the Daily Mail, saying the hotel does not permit one client to buy up another’s reservation.
‘When clients and their families choose Ocean House as their wedding venue, it is an agreement and commitment between our team and that family,’ said Stephanie Leavitt, the hotel’s area director of sales and marketing.
The Daily Mail has contacted Swift’s representatives for comment.

In her new statement, Leavitt said: ‘Ocean House would not and is not allowing another party or entity to buy a wedding group out of a contracted wedding date.’
She noted further that the venue ‘prides itself on being rooted in client confidentiality, integrity, loyalty, and service,’ adding: ‘We appreciate the interest in our brides and grooms yet allow them to confirm their wedding location with who they choose.’
Located in Westerly, Rhode Island, the Ocean House Hotel was erected in 1868 and boasts breathtaking sea views as well as picturesque Victorian-style architecture.
Although it was torn down in 2005 after falling into disrepair, a new version opened in 2010, designed to distinctly resemble the original edifice.
The resort is situated on Bluff Avenue in Watch Hill, the same elegant street and upscale neighborhood where Swift keeps her New England mansion, a historic colonial-style property known as the Holiday House.
Ocean House is a mere five-minute walk up the street from Swift’s estate, which she bought in 2013, reportedly for a staggering $17.75 million she paid in cash.
Her house is the priciest private home in Rhode Island and has become famous among her fans thanks to the star-studded Fourth of July parties she has held there.

Meanwhile her supposed June 13 wedding date falls on her half-birthday, which could have significance to her given her enthusiasm for ‘numerology’ and ‘dates.’
Swift has long felt 13 is her lucky number because of its repeated presence in her success, such as the fact that her first number-one song began with a 13-second intro or that her first album achieved gold status after 13 weeks.
Her diehard fans often seize on the ‘Easter eggs’ she has laid for them with regard to the number, including recently when she announced her latest album The Life of a Showgirl on an August 13 episode of Kelce’s podcast New Heights.
During that interview, Kelce noted that his jersey number with the Kansas City Chiefs is 87, which when combined with 13 adds up to 100 – a coincidence Swift laughingly referred to as ‘part of the numerology of why we’re dating.’
