‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Should Sonny and Ric Team Up to Take Down Sidwell?

‘General Hospital’ spoilers suggest that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) may soon team up to take down Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sidwell Is Threatening Sonny and Laura
Sidwell has evidence that could potentially land Sonny behind bars. Plus, he threatened Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and had a freshly killed Professor Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard) stashed in the trunk of Laura’s car.
The villain has pics of Dalton in Laura’s trunk. Laura was understandably terrified. He told Laura he would turn her and Sonny in to the police.

Laura is very protective and loyal to her friends, and she’s close with Sonny, whom she’s known for a very long time.
The two of them go way back to when Sonny and Luke Spencer (Tony Geary) ran Luke’s club together. Sonny has tried his best not to let his feud with Sidwell escalate into an all-out mob war.
Since Sonny has been leaning more into peace these days, he may decide to enlist Ric to help him in his quest to bring down Sidwell.

Ric can help him explore legal options to achieve his goal. It’s been fun to watch Sonny and Ric bond as brothers.
Personally, I have always liked Rick Hearst as an actor, but his GH character, Ric Lansing, has committed some unsavory acts in the past.
However, Ric has become much more likable recently, especially since he’s been trying to make amends.

Plus, Sonny and Ric were gold together when Emma Scorpio Drake (Braedyn Bruner) and Gio Palmeri (Giovanni Mazza) rescued those adorable dogs and brought them to Sonny’s place!
Ric was magnificent when he mentioned the Good Samaritan law, which says that if you see an animal in danger, such as one trapped in a hot car, you are permitted to break in and save them.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Ric Wants to Bond with Sonny
Not to mention, Ric has also been helping Sonny with Rocco Falconeri’s (Finn Carr) case. Ric may have actually turned over a new leaf this time. At least we hope!
Hearst and Benard were excited when they learned that they would be working more together. Even better, their characters reached a significant turning point in their relationship.

Hearst recently told Soap Opera Digest that he was “thrilled and intrigued” by the way Ric is trying to reconcile with his estranged brother.
The actor admitted, “If there’s any opportunity for the development of this character to go into a new chapter, and have that chapter involve his history with Sonny, I’m all-in!”
Hearst also mentioned the abundance of storyline possibilities if Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Ric should ever compete for Sonny’s attention and trust. The actor believes his character may have always been jealous of Jason’s connection with Sonny.

He’s confident that Ric now wants to form a lasting bond with Sonny. His brother is Ric’s only remaining connection to their late, dearly departed mother, Adela.
Hearst said, “I think he feels he could potentially get his life integrated, if nothing else, were he able to at least be in the same room as Sonny and not look to you know, seek his destruction.”
Ric and Sonny seem genuinely committed to working on their relationship. It’s a treat to watch Hearst and Benard share more scenes together! How do you feel about Ric and Sonny becoming real brothers?
