That evening, Caitlin stood before the team, her presence both commanding and compassionate. “We all make mistakes,” she began, “but what matters is what we do next. Tonight, we saw the consequences of snap judgments and a lack of empathy. This isn’t about punishment—it’s about learning and doing better.”

Ashley, eyes downcast, admitted her error. “I was so focused on the restaurant’s image, I forgot everyone deserves respect.” Caitlin nodded, “That promise isn’t to me, Ashley. It’s to yourself. Growth is a process.” Addressing the staff, Caitlin continued, “Kindness isn’t about grand gestures. It’s about the small choices we make every day. Treat everyone as though they matter—because they do.”

 

As Caitlin left Lumiere that night, the city lights reflected her quiet satisfaction. The lesson was clear: true strength lies not in judgment, but in acceptance and kindness. In a world where you can be anything, choose to be kind.
