A Justin Bieber Impersonator Ran Up a $10K Bar Tab in Vegas

There’s a knockoff for just about anything these days. Designer bags, sneakers, even celebrity fragrances — and now, apparently, celebrities themselves. You’ve heard of Lafufus, and now the world has met his chaotic cousin: an alternate version of Justin Bieber who’s been casually crashing parties. At least, that’s what went down in Las Vegas on Saturday, August 16, when a Bieber impersonator scammed his way into one of the city’s hottest nightclubs. Yep, you read that correctly — a JB lookalike somehow convinced security, staff, and even the headline DJ that he was the real deal.

Sources with “direct knowledge” told TMZ that Gryffin, the electronic DJ currently holding a residency at the Wynn’s XS Nightclub, had been notified that Bieber was in town and “wanted to crank out a surprise performance.” So when “Justin” showed up with an entourage, the timing seemed perfect. Without realizing he was dealing with an imposter, Gryffin invited “Bustin Jieber” — yes, that’s what the internet is now calling him — into the booth to sing a few songs. With the club’s deafening music, flashing lights, and thick atmosphere of alcohol and adrenaline, no one thought to question if this man was actually the Grammy-winning star of Sorry and Peaches.

Clips from that night show “Justin” dancing alongside Gryffin and waving to the crowd like he owned the place. Some fans even swore they saw him take the mic, though the chaotic audio makes it hard to tell if he actually sang. Later, once Gryffin learned the truth, he joked online, “I kinda thought, like, ‘Damn, he put on a lot of weight since the album dropped.’” The DJ, to his credit, seemed more entertained than embarrassed.

But the story doesn’t end there. According to LADbible, the döppelganger didn’t just get stage access — he allegedly racked up a $10,000 bar tab after convincing employees he was Bieber himself. Witnesses claim he ordered rounds of expensive champagne and tequila shots for the group, all under the assumption that “the Biebs” would easily settle the bill. A few days later, the same man was spotted strutting around a Vegas mall, stopping to pose for photos with fans who genuinely believed they had just run into Justin Bieber mid-shopping spree.

Eventually, the ruse came crashing down. A representative for the Wynn and XS Nightclub confirmed the incident to TMZ, saying: “After an elaborate and multi-step ruse by him and his advance team, a Justin Bieber impersonator was granted access to the XS stage. As soon as the error was recognized, he was removed from the resort and denied future entry.” Translation: Bustin Jieber is officially blacklisted.

The internet, of course, wasted no time turning the fiasco into a meme-fest. Side-by-side photos of the real Bieber and his impersonator flooded TikTok, with users debating just how anyone could’ve mistaken the two. Some called it “the greatest Vegas scam since The Hangover,” while others joked, “He may not be Justin, but he Bustin moves.”

At this point, the man behind the prank is probably asking himself the same question Bieber once posed: “Is it too late now to say sorry?”
