Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan recently took to social media to send a message after former WWE Superstar CJ Perry (fka Lana) gave her a surprise. The Judgment Day star also thanked Perry in her post.

Lana signed with World Wrestling Entertainment in 2013 and started as the manager of former WWE star Rusev, also known as Miro. The 39-year-old began her professional wrestling career in 2016 and continued to perform inside the squared circle till 2021 before getting released from the Stamford-based promotion. Following her departure, CJ Perry made a few appearances in AEW before announcing in July 2024 that she was leaving the Tony Khan-led promotion as well.

CJ Perry and Liv Morgan are real-life friends. The duo is always seen posting photos and videos with each other on their social media handles.

Morgan recently took to her Instagram Stories to post a photo of a box of cupcakes that she received from Lana. In her post, the Women’s World Champion wrote that she came home to a nice surprise from Perry and thanked her for it.

“Came home to such a nice surprise from [CJ Perry] Thank you, sister,” Morgan wrote.

Teddy Long believes WWE will keep the Women’s World Championship on Liv Morgan

During a recent edition of Sportskeeda’s The Wrestling Time Machine hosted by Mac Davis, Teddy Long talked about Liv Morgan’s upcoming clash against IYO SKY for the Women’s World Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Long said that he believed the Triple H-led creative team would keep the title on Morgan until they find someone who could work well in a storyline with The Judgment Day star.

“I would certainly keep it on Liv, I mean, just like Bill was saying, she looks great, and she’s great in the ring. So there’s nothing really bad about her, I think. The good thing is that they’ll keep it on her for a while, and hopefully, they will get somebody or find somebody that, you know, she can really work with and maybe get a little story going.”

It remains to be seen what the Stamford-based promotion has planned for Liv Morgan vs. IYO SKY at WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event.
